KU coach kinder, gentler

Spot on, desert. Did anyone see our next coach being interviewed after his team beat Notre Dame? Mangino staying or getting canned is not the point. Lew should have done this 3 years ago or waited until after the season. My thank you for sitting through 20 years of 3 and 4 win seasons (and years of parking in the grass by the stadium) was a big boot in the a** across campus. Those spots were open when T.A. & Valasente were there. Thank$ Lew.

Mangino denies validity of former player allegations

swish, a double-negative AND J.C. and d!ck in the same sentence. nice. Perkins wants a big hire on his resume. Who's the UConn coach? Think he'll get an interview? He may be justified in firing Mangino, but to do it while the season is still going shows what a tool he is. HE"S the guy I wouldn't want to work for.

Not-so-gentle reign

While I don't support "abusing" players, bottom line is Lew wants to make a big hire since he didn't hire MM or BS. Now he has his chance. The timing of this stinks and is embarrassing to school & program. He better get it right.

Title IX suit targets KU men’s athletics

After the disappointing football season, some good news (that isn't basketball related). Guessing the $90 bucks they gouged the NU fans (and non-season ticket holders) Saturday could cover at least one men's sport.
onlyone, you're so all-over-the-place I'm not sure if you're a righty or lefty, but I'll tell you cutting men's programs for women is definitely NOT conservative - it's reverse discrimination. No football or basketball, no women's rowing team, bottom line.

Opurum may be equalizer

I think most would have OU, TT & UT as losses, that why CU hurts so bad. Tech looks beatable now. Take care of business in Lubbock and we'll ok. Hate to use pop-psyche, but it's time to move on. Wonder if Memphis people are still posting "man, if we had just hit those free-throws." The horse has been beaten.

Opurum may be equalizer

86 - nice post. The pass interference was b.s., but why not man-up and run the ball down their throats (at least once)?
I don't read everything, but didn't TO limp off the field in the CU game? Haven't seen or heard anything about it. Perhaps that's why we didn't run it there.

Reesing stopped; KU falls

I did like parking next to stadium in the Allen years, however!

Reesing stopped; KU falls

With all due respect to Chuck Brown, I hate to sound wishy-washy, but there's truth in what everyone is saying. The offense (mainly Todd) cost us the CU game. Yes, he brought us back, but it was too late. The defense has been bad at times (ISU) but they played well enough for us have a lead against OU, but Todd (or MM or EW) let us down. However, they let them march down the field on the first drive of the second half instead of coming up with a big stop.

Having said that, we won more games in 2007 than in my original 4 years (86-89). Some of you have no idea what it's like and how much better it is now. Reesing to Meier 2008 vs. MU is the highlight of my KU football existence (only because of the failed 2-pointer to NU in 1993). Those of you bashing someone who has done so much for this program (and is 22 year old college kid), are clueless (keepin' it clean for the kids).
