He looks smart in the picture but why would he be grinning at a funeral.

Jayhawks try to refocus with players-only meeting

I don't like the team meeting thing. Teams that a have these meetings are losing teams and Kansas basketball is not the norm, it's a sign of desperation. The begining of the season coach Self mention there wasn't talking during practices from this team so I take it that the seniors are not communicating well with the rest of the team. The seniors for the most part have to be communuiating with each other. That's not good?

Opinion: Could KU be too nice?

Godzilla's son, One day on monster island Godzilla was trying to make his son blow out fire from his mouth. Well, Godzilla's son could not do it, he would rub his tummy and just a puff of fire would come out of his mouth, each time Godzilla would get frustrated and eventuallyGodzilla got angry enough he stomped on his son's tail, at which time a big ball of fire would come out. I believe coach Self is Godzilla trying to make his13 basketball son's to blow fire from there mouth's. Godzilla knew his son had it in him and coach Self know's his players have it in them or he would not have reqruited them.

Staying the course: Bill Self, Jayhawks not panicking over skid

The players on this team for the most part have been reserves and there learning how to be frontline players for the best div 1 bball programs in the country. I see them make some good plays trying to go to the basket and make plays, the ball was just not going down in the basket. Rele, Tharpe and Elijah especially tried to make moves to the hole and I feel in the remaining games the effort well be made in to made baskets, because these guy's work to hard not to get it to happen. They'll realize and probably already see that there the only ones out their and they have to rely on themselves. The problem that probably won't be fixed until next season is a playmaker at the 4, I just don't see it happening this season.

How do you go from where you are to where you want to be? I think you have to have an enthusiasm for life. You have to have a dream, a goal, and you have to be willing to work for it.

TCU coach takes upset in stride

If, This team needs to be humbled in losses like this, So, be it! These KU players came into KU with alot of other great talented players and there were some players already here as well. These players started out as second teir players and reserves, Now they're going to have to go past there comfort zone and play the way they have invisioned themselves of what kind of players they really can be. I think they all been trying hard and going thru and forging themselves as the best players all along, but there just have to go further as no other team in KU history has gone. I beleive they will! JIMMY V, would say,

Don't give up, don't ever give up.

Persistence on and off court defines Kevin Young’s journey to KU

First of all, Perry is not getting Youngs playing time, because Perry is not makeing plays and bringing that energy Young is performing. Young has that mentality and focus of what it takes to succeed in the game right now. I do wish Young can knock down that 12 to 15 footer, the defense gives him. Piper did that consistantly and helped his team out in '88

Opinion: KU not perfect but still deserving of No. 1 spot

Yes, KU deserves the #1 spot considering how the other top bball schools get more PUB than KU. That has always been the case even though this year I believe KU is in the top 5 of the bball top programs. To be a dominate #1 we need more of scorer at the 4 position.
