Mangino going about his business

Unfortunate that fans have to endure what administration has put on our table for thanksgiving not. I am not thankful for this investigation and its leak to the press. I am not thankful for the timing. I am not thankful that whatever happens, I will not know the true motivations and the true facts.
Although I won't predict backlash toward KU, my school, for this investigation, I am feeling that backlash toward KU myself. I don't like what was done, the reasons I hear at this point, and especially the timing. Why don't you just destroy recruiting? That's what I hear. I don't like the way everyone seems to have jumped in the fire the coach boat fast and furious, without full info. I am thinking it stinks. It would take a lot for me to not buy season tickets next year. It is entering my thoughts.
I am seeing some sour grapes. Speaking of fruit, I won't forget the oranges. Not that it justifies bad conduct, IF that is the case, but the Orange Bowl, something I thought I would never see, biases me heavily in favor of coach MM. And all of Missouri's sour grapes about that make it even sweeter. 76 on Nebraska? Get out of town. I would give MM 76 benefits of the doubt just for that. I have a hate on for NU more than the others, probably bc they chose to run up the score so much so many years. I will be looking for KU to clear MM unless I hear more than I have to this point. coaches yell. mine did. you don't always like what they yell. chances are, they are trying to motivate you. i don't like that method but they do it. Do I think the coach really means the things that some ALLEGED he said? doubt it. some stuff, you can't say, and if you do, you will have to go. but some things have been alleged and before you can judge that they were really said, there should be very credible proof. Allegations from disgruntled guys who didn't get to play is not very reliable.

I may not know, but I think this admin is getting in hot water bc all of the circumstances are stinking, with the AD chasing down stuff, the timing, the effects upon recruiting of bad timing. We still have a shot at a bowl. We have to beat MU, and then get chosen over ISU I think, who we beat. This administration is making me very angry bringing this while we are driving toward these goals. Certainly if it was a fire, you would put it out now. I don't think it is a fire.

Keep your eyes open. Don't rush to judgment. Require a high degree of proof. For me, MM brought me the Orange Bowl, and I thought I would NEVER see such a thing. Riggins said our ship was out to sea for 40 years and it finally came to port. Must have meant a lot for Riggins to say such a thing. It runs deep. If you are going to shoot the captain of that ship, it better be for %$^&*&^)^ # good reason and with unquestionable proof. The Jayhawk Nation must keep its eyes focussed and evaluate every single thing. We believe in fairness in the USA as shown in our Constitution.

Probe timing curious

timing stinks. Admittedly without all of the facts, I think it is a head hunt.

Game balls and gassers

I was at the game. Definite gassers for the referees. Looked like Meier had a TD and I don't think they took the time to review it. Looked like interference not called on the next drive or two. Looked like interference knocked Meier down so UT could intercept. The kicker did the worst onside kick I have ever seen. Some of you blame the coach? The onside was a complete surprise, which you are going to need if you want to beat UT or compete. And yes, no receiver ran the route when Meier was trying to pass the ball. Wilson did not. Inexplicably, Reesing is throwing some balls low. Perhaps he believes the ball has to be low to avoid intereception at times. I don't know. I sure like all of these players, and I sure hate referees.
Mostly, I think at this point, upon reflection, the timing of this so-called investigation stinks. Telling the media about it stinks. Gasser to KU for that. Several commentators echo that. Seems to me that someone is out to get the coach. Of course, I don't know for sure what he said to anyone, just that some guys who are not playing are talking. I don't know what will come out of it, although I am afraid the writing is on the wall, but I have seen situations where the media takes something and runs with it... and then were terribly wrong. Which leads me back to wonder whether someone was out to get coach, and why tell the media about it right now. It had the feel of bad intent and worse timing.

Mangino denies validity of former player allegations

Maybe I'm just behind. I am still hoping the coach stays... unless he said or did something terrible, which I have not yet read. I have only seen vague, ambiguous references to something he allegedly said, and he poked someone. Now, if the player was wearing shoulder pads, the poke would hit pads, and be a message, rather than an actual contact upon the person of another.
Allodel kind of sux. Ever notice that those who say "that's mature" are the ones who doubt their own maturity?
I sure am glad he didn't scream "I'm a Man", and other junk, at a female reporter.
If they ever heard me in my car about other motorists, I am certain it is far beyond anything he said.
All I have heard is speculation and innuendo so far.
I hope it is not so big that MM is fired. I am biased though. I just loved abusing nebraska for 76 two years ago, the Orange Bowl I went to, and still can't believe I ever would in my lifetime, etc.

KU wide receiver Kerry Meier says he was surprised by the timing of the allegations and says it will

Go Kerry, Todd, Justin, Briscoe and the rest.
This is my team.
I hope it is yours.
The timing of this junk is indeed crap for my team.
I don't know if I can say any coaches are nice guys,
except maybe Tom Landry and John Wooden. Who knows.
I hope nothing major comes out of this investigation.
It would be a dam shame to terminate the coach who brought us 76 points against dirty, stinking filthy, bugeating nebraska. We would have beaten them again except for a turnover, penalty, few drops... unfortunate, but still my team. It is hard to pick out my favorite player. Kerry would be an easy pick, but it just seems to change a few times each game. Lot of favorites, I guess.

Investigation of Mangino launched after player complains coach poked him

I see a lot of stupid on here. Wildcats and tigers want OUR coach to go. they are pretending to be jayhawks. Go home, pretenders.
This issue has nothing to do with wins/losses
Mangino cannot comment on this until it is done. Maybe not even then. How stupid to suggest he could or should.

When it comes to taking responsibility, he has at all times done so for team performance.

If there is abuse, I think we know what will happen, but I have never seen so many disloyal fools jumping ship so fast... except for tigers/wildcats feigning as jayhawks jumping ship.

I am not fooled.

Mangino wins games, not friends

Lots and lots of comments. I hope the Ron Kellogg who posted here is not my favorite Ron Kellogg who could nail 40 without a three point line in college, because I would disagree.
If MM did some serious wrong, if football warriors are being treated too roughly,do what you have to do. I might prefer one who seems like Tom Landry, but whatever.
Coaches yell. Most of em do. Lots of their fathers and grandfathers could have been military, and there is a lot of yelling there I think.
For me it is innocent until proven guilty, and then it matters, how guilty.
I do not forget the Orange Glow and all of the other victories and good efforts wafting in the penumbras... I remember never ever ever beating Nebraska... until
anyway, of course great accomplishments can't justify something very wrong.
I trust that KU will figure out whether something that wrong happened, and the degree thereof, and until otherwise notified...
I'm just focused on the next game like the players and the coaches.

You people who get on here and yell for top of the big 12 every year are obnoxious. It is very difficult to do, and this is as good as we have done. Right now. A few losses won't change what has been done. The win/loss argument is not even part of the present discussion and has no bearing here. The issue is something about behavior, not how fast you can jump ship when turnovers and penalties cost us games. Be careful not to use that... ahem... gender arguing technique where you point out everything that is wrong, blame it all on one, and call for his head. Don't take the opportunity to criticize recent losses when that is not this issue. It is not even in this issue.
And most of all, I recognize those among you who are so quick to jump Mangino as being actually wildcats and tigers. They would love to pretend to be Jayhawks and call for OUR coach's head. Do not be fooled.

Jayhawks focusing on fourth-quarter play

It is disappointing to look at our record now, needing to beat missouri to become bowl eligible, instead of just the pure desire to punk them.
However, rastameta, whatever that is, can go south. Doesn't sound like a Jayhawk. Despite what this year has brought, this punk ignores the Orange Bowl and many other great victories we were not having before. Your comments are rude and stupid.
Some of us are very happy with the Orange Bowl victory, something we dared not hope for during the last 40 years, and never thought would happen. These guys have earned their place. You are nothing but a tiger. And lighthawk is lightheaded. Only ksu and mu people ever say that MM does not take responsibility. He always has.
Don't listen to these pretenders. They love to get on our boards.

KU’s late D lacking

That facemask penalty was a killer. And right, the offense needed to go instead of punt late. I also feel that when bugeaters ran off tackle late for a touchdown, as least two defenders were being held with hands on the outside of their shoulder pads. Bugeaters' first TD was the result of a pushoff by nu receiver. Very unfortunate that Keeey fumbled, Jake missed that long pass in his hands, and one defender made a play but failed to intercept. But the facemask penalty gave a stopped nu the ball on ku 20. The defense did its job at that time... except for that dam penalty.

Makes the mu game real big for us.
And likely grants the pompous bugeaters a date with the Longhorns. I will be watching, and I expect to see a vast difference between those two teams.

Maybe I missed it, but it seemed like mr. hong kong suey didn't have close to the game I've seen him have on tv. Felt we had time a lot. Go O line.
