KU hauls in $1.26 million from game at Arrowhead

Memorial holds roughly 55,000. At a conservative 20 dollar per ticket guess(too low) that means 1,100,000.00. Not to mention parking, concessions and taxes going into the local economy. So I'm not buying the whole "ku home games bring us roughly 1million a game" Also KU lost home field advantage, an undefeated season(once in a lifetime chance) because of Lew's greed. And think of all the ill will that has been sent out by the athletic dept towards local business owners and town officials. Was it worth it?

Coaches to be on short 'T' leash this year

so according to this new rule, Coach K should get about 39 techs a game for cursing. I'd like to see that.

KU basketball notebook: Chenowith joins Hornets

It was my understanding that Eric "never" actually graduated. He participated in walking down the hill but I've been told that he never actually got his degree. Could someone find out?

The Law wins late as A&M leaves Allen as a 69-66 winner

I blame this game on C.J. Giles(knucklehead) Better defender, athlete, free throw shooter than Sascha. Sascha has no inside moves, at least C.J. had a little.

Fans 'love' priority seating. Lew says so.

I think two big reasons people are forgetting is
1. We are just spoiled, we expect KU to get to th final 4 every year and are disappointed when they don't. With two early losses in the tourney, enthusiasm is down a bit.
2. Tickets have gone from 20 bucks a game to close to 50 a game. That's a huge difference for the common folk (fan) two tickets, parking, snacks, we're looking at 150 bucks, on a week night. Our tickets are overpriced. Have nothing against the pay for seat donation scheme, but jacking the game prices is too much.

Move to Arrowhead should pay off

Jayhawk86, you could not be more wrong. How many times does the University ask local businesses to donate time, money, food, advertising....to cover the expenses of the athletic department? Millions of dollars.
You cannot compare losing the Missouri game to having a home game against Florida International. The Missouri, Oklahoma, Nebraska, k state games sell out. The Florida International game will have about 28,000 people there. See the difference.
Also bogus about this is Lew 'MAKING' fans pay for the Arrowhead game. You want to see a true feeling of how fans feel, make the game optional to season ticket holders and see how many show.
Also, we played OU there in 05, terrible crowd, we lost, didn't have any home field advantage.
Lew, you suck. $$$$$$$$$$$

Keegan: KU glad to let $$$ talk

Hew Lew, Got to hell you a$$. If it's so damn important to have a game in KC, then play the Toledo game there. You are taking a huge, HUGE dump on all the merchants in town. Not to mention the taxes lost by the city. Screw you Lew.

Border War moving to Arrowhead for 2007 and 2008

Stupid, Stupid, Stupid, Stupid, Stupid, Stupid, Stupid, Stupid decision. The mayor of Lawrence(if we had one) should stand up and demand that football games be played in town. Town loses millions of dollars when Ku doesn't play at home. Truly Stupid decision Lew. Dumb.

Final: KU pulls out first road win, 41-10

Mangino's problem, pure and simple, is he can't evaluate quarterback talent. Every year he has been here, he has started the wrong quarterback. Then by the time he figures it out, we've lost two or three games.

Final: Kansas falls, 37-31, in double OT

That was the worst job of coaching and quarterbacking I've ever seen. I said before halftime when they completed the(unforgivably bad coaching) 4th and 15 for a touchdown that it would cost us the game. A good athlete does not make a good qb. Million dollar arm and legs and a two cent head do not make a good fit. This is a job killer or loser, and usually at Ku these things snowball for a lost season. Pitiful
