Now, if we can just get Bill to crap-can that dumb hi-low style of play and let these young whippets run up and down the floor, we'll do just fine.
We've already seen how Julian Wright can stand up to the likes of Joakim Noah and others. The talent is there, tell them to let their hair down and play KU ball!
But, he still also needs to understand that the two one-and-outs in the NCAA, and the ORU thing, had better be an exception and not a rule.
I'm not suggesting that the hat needs to be thrown in. But Self needs to understand full well what we expect from him, and what this program expects from him.
KU coaches have been coddled way too long and for way too many years.
True, we are the third winningest program in the history of college basketball. But, how many national championship banners do we have hanging on the wall versus those of say, Kentucky, NC, UCLA, and others who's programs are not as storied as those of KU?
think about it before you tell others to get a life.
It's time for Self to have a visit with the AD. Two one and outs in the NCAA's and then a loss like this at home. Both instances are inexcusable for a team and program of this caliber.
I'd tell him so, if it were me in the AD's chair.
National championship teams don't do things like this. It just tells me that the Jayhawks are/have been way, way overranked.
End of the road
Had we hit the other half of our layups and dunks that we missed, and done better at the charity stripe....
We'd be the ones headed to Atlanta.
Take heart, "Hawks fans, we're young and we'll be there again next year!!

Still smarting after all these years
Can you imagine how great the '86 team would have been with the 3 point shot around back then? Those guys could shoot!

Extra Minutes: Kansas 68, Iowa State 64 (OT)
At least we didn't miss 5 or so dunks like we did against O State.
That was embarrassing!

KU slides up to ninth in newest AP poll
Scoring in the 60's isn't going to get it, especially when Big 12 and NCAA competition comes around.
I still think we're very much overranked.

This is the end
sorry, but it's just another in a long line of Kansas NCAA chokes.
Owens, Brown, Williams, and now, Self have all done it.
really, it's nothing new, but disappointing.
