Good with the bad

The women's basketball program is just like Field of Dreams. "If you build it they will come". I could actually AFFORD to watch them play. They shouldn't expect big crowds like Saturday, though. Not until the NIT is considered beneath us.

Yes, the Jayhawk HAS to be that big because we only get a fraction of the air time that fracking North Carolina (and Roy, still!) gets! At least OUR coach won the National Championship with HIS OWN PLAYERS. We still get losers like Ian Eagle to announce our games while they get Bill Raftery and Dick Vitale. It wasn't widely reported, but the (east coast biased) sports media voted Tyler Hansbrough the Son of God by a vote of 123 to 7 last year. He has since lost that title this year, but the media won't admit it. Blake Griffin has trumped him this year, but his Conference doesn't end in "ACC" so he gets MUCH less attention and accolades. Yes, there is a very large midwestern chip on my shoulder. I dare you to knock it off...

Keegan: Was that really KU out there?

I don't know about anybody else, but I thought the crowd atmosphere absolutely SUCKED. I had to entice people to get up and be loud on Nebraska third downs. The KU fans have NO IDEA how to be football fans. If you want to WATCH the game, STAY AT HOME!!! If you want to BE A PART OF THE GAME, SHOW UP AND DO WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO - BE LOUD AND EXCITED!!!!! What a bunch of wine and cheese crowd basketball fans!!!!!!! WE ARE IN THE NATIONAL TITLE HUNT. IT'S TIME TO START ACTING LIKE IT!!!!!!!!

Jayhawks OK against pass

Leikness, from where I sat it wasn't HALF as loud as a Missouri game or other Big 12 games we've had. I'm still disappointed in our fans. I understand this is all new to everyone, but that's why we SHOULD be so excited!!! Here is my concern, Leikness, the KU football program has been nowhere NEAR a Big 12/Big 8 Championship or NATIONAL TITLE since I've bee alive (35 years). I don't know if this will ever happen again in my lifetime. Shouldn't we be a LITTLE excited about this? I mean, I can't wait until we bow out in the elite 8 in basketball, but until then, should't we do everything we can to get behind this football team???

KU jumps to 5th in both polls, 4th in BCS rankings

landon_2003, WHO CARES??? How about the BCS REPRESENTATIVES who were there Saturday??? We are talking NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP implications here. This is something the BASKETBALL team hasn't sniffed in several years. If this was the freakin' basketball team everyone would have their panties in a bunch.

Kansas cruises to 9-0

RALSTERkuMED95, a NATIONAL TITLE in FOOTBALL???? There's no way it can get better than that! I've never even DREAMED of that until about 2 or 3 weeks ago!!! Apparently, our fans are still ASLEEP and dreaming of another Big 12 Basketball Championship. Can anyone even comprehend a NATIONAL TITLE in FOOTBALL for KU? I couldn't either, but it is now a possibility!!! Our fans need to ACT ACCORDINGLY. Basketball can wait a few weeks!!!
