Do you want Mark Mangino to remain as the football coach at KU?

Honestly HCMM isn't that great of a game day coach, but the guy has built a hell of a program out of some pretty serious wreckage from the TA era. He deserves better than what he is getting. I'm hopeful he'll still be treated fairly, but I won't be surprised if he is shown the door.

If we are successful in getting a decent replacement, we'll be doing it on the strength of the infrastructure built up during the HCMM era and nothing more.

Julian Wright back in the dog house?

Dude, we are about 8 games into an 82 game season. I have no idea what will happen to Wright, I've not been real impressed with his play in the NBA, but then again I don't follow the Hornets that closely. One thing that I'm sure of though is enough of his teammates will slump and suffer injuries to allow Wright plenty of chances to prove himself throughout the remainder of the marathon NBA season.

Chalmers avoids suspension

People, if you think the Chalmer/Arthur event is screwy and that they have let these gentlemen off light, let me remind you what they do to their real league darlings. Here is the beginning of an article from 2004:"DENVER --Carmelo Anthony was cited for marijuana possession while boarding the team plane last week, though the Denver Nuggets star says the bag was left in his backpack by a friend. "What happened to Anthony? Nothing. His friend took the bullet for him and that was the end of it.

Woodling: NBA Draft a joke

Wow! Was that a Chuck Woodling article or did some of the riff-raff (self included) in the basketball forum manage to hack into Woodling's account?Take a lude, brother. I don't think the entire world has it out for KU.

Chalmers officially moving on

It'll be interesting to see if the Spurs take him (and don't trade him). No matter where he goes, he'll be a role player, but with the Spurs would they dare replace Vaughn with Chalmers? IMHO:Chalmers = Vaughn defensivelyChalmers >> Vaughn shootingVaughn >> Chalmers ball handlingVaughn definitely is a liability when he comes in the game and San Antonio is trailing. Chalmers could help there if he doesn't cave to defensive pressure.

Tasing interrupts basketball celebration

The fact that this crap article was published is just a sign that the NCAA basketball season is indeed over.

Mayer: Ghosts of '57 banished

A little Googling revealed Smith had knee replacement surgery this winter and had some additional health complications as a result of surgery. He was still having difficulties in March.

Woodling: Roy still popular topic

Memo to LJW staff. The appropriate time to write your next article about former HCRW will be when and if KU and UNCle Roy meet in the final four.

Please run as many articles as you like after KU dismantles his team and his inner tarhawk spawns an explosion of conflicted tears of sorrow and joy during the postgame interview.
