Live gameday blog: What will Griffin's absence mean for KU?

I thought it was a little funny that Self said "how often do you get to play against the top player in the country and the No. 1 player in the (NBA) draft?" Apparently if you're in the Big 12 you get 1 or two chances a year. Just kidding around, but the league has had a lot of talent the last few years. Durant and Beasley both should have been the top draft picks. Beasley ended up in a good situation though. Actually, I'm not quite sure but wasn't TJ Ford a number 2 pick also? Whatever, it's late for me. I can't wait to wake up and see the score. Rock Chalk!!

KU remains steady in up-and-down Big 12 Conference

I take it back, on the Orient there is a short level stretch once you reach the peak....Then it plummets. Although I'm sure the rest of the year there will be ups and downs and lots of screaming. Plus you always want to go back and do it again. So maybe not entirely horrible reference.

The comment was made about a roller coaster. It definitely was a Worlds of Fun reference, and I also thought it was odd to say we're at the peak. One, because that particular roller coaster is no longer in operation. Two, because as soon as you hit the peak you go down.

What could've been...

I was probably too young to really judge their games, but I always enjoyed watching Rex Walters and Adonis Jordan play. Also, Simein is the first one I thought of. His whole career, even college, he has been fighting injuries. I believe he's still trying to make it but if I were an NBA GM, I'd be wary. I can't think of a year (maybe his rookie year?) that he wasn't injured (or sick) at some point. But man he has game.

Did he attend KU? I believe that was the point being made. Only two KU golfers have won twice.

Rush signs with Pacers

I'm pretty sure Kleinman and Brechard are seniors this coming year. Although I can't remember if either are on scholorship. I don't think Brechard is but Kleinman I think was at one point but he may have given his up. Anyone know for sure?

Jayhawks make history

I'm confused. If you read through the side-bar detailing the drafts and trades, it states that Mario will be able to play with Jackson in Miami. Then it states that Jackson was traded to Cleveland. Then it says that ARTHUR will have an easier time making the roster in Cleveland(in Jackson's segment). I guess I'll have to go somewhere else for my Jayhawk news.
