Mangino offers no excuses

Has Mangino raised the level of our recruits? Yes. Has he been able to pluck any top 100 players yet? Nope. Last year the story seemed to be that Mangino took lower rated HS players and helped them discover their potential. But over the long haul, if you keep only landing recruits outside the top 100 (150?) you're going to go 6-6 more than you're gonna go 11-1.

Woodling: Lawsuit gives T's new life

For those you worried about about the quality of expression ON the tshirt... that's not the problem.

How about the fact that we express ourselves through tshirts at all? Not sure if "cleaning" up language on a tshirt is really addressing the 300lb gorilla in the room (who is, coincidentally, wearing a tshirt too!)

Rush story contained some inaccuracies

I like how this "apology" basically comes off like this....

"Yeah... we were wrong but there were some pretty good reasons we were wrong. Anyone would have made the same mistake. So basically... we didn't really do anything wong here.

(pause)

"But yeah... we apologize "

Yes Collins made some mistakes but didn't you guys see in the final 2 minutes it was Collins who was screaming at his teammates to believe? The kid was a huge part of the fight that got that game tied up - not a stats thing... a heart thing that earns him the second spot!

If you got ANY chance to go to a bowl game - you easily burn a redshirt. Too much to be gained in recruiting and money.

The argument goes: burn the redshirt to get the bowl birth to get an even better player you can redshirt. Makes sense to me.

Uh... my earlier support for Meier is looking pretty smart right now. Honestly... I like Reesing as a passer better though as a runner he looks like he's an injury waiting to happen.

Plus that I like that Reesing is taking on engineering calc 2 -- I've seen KU's engineering calc and believe me... it's stronger than any Big 12 Defense he'll face. ;P
