Maybe he was shooting at whichever woman turned down her elevator audience with Sherron's danglies? Kind of a sniper exhibitionist overwatch?
I bet she decided to call KU security when her boyfriend stomped up there to confront the lone shooter on the grassy knoll and found out he was 6-8".
In all seriousness, this is the kind of non-story that wouldn't have made the news 20 years ago, and it shouldn't now. 18-year-olds do dumb stuff sometimes, and intoxicated 18-year-olds moreso. In other news, water is still wet.
On Freshman Jayhawk basketball player gets court date after BB gun incident

Jaybate, are you really giving a lecture on being a big-time Div I basketball coach to a kid who is training under Bill Self at the University of Kansas?
Really?
What makes you think you're more qualified than his existing tutors?

It's all about Andrea Hudy. She's done a tremendous job with the team.

Darnell Jackson is everything we want our Jayhawks to be. What an attitude. He's been through the ringer, and come out the other side as a World Champion.
Congratulations Darnell, and remember, you'll always have 80,000 friends here in Lawrence. You and your teammates inspired the Jayhawk Nation, and sent us over the moon.
I believe there's a spot for you in the NBA, but if it doesn't come calling right away, you could do much worse than cashing a paycheck in Euros somewhere in Southern Spain or Italy. :)

I've never underrated Mario. :) Just sayin'. :)
I think he's become my favorite Jayhawk of all time. My wife and I have referred to him as "the dagger," because when you absolutely, positively need an opposing team's momentum jumped and stabbed to death in a dark alleyway . . . Mario's your guy.
Remember all the times he'd jump in the face of guys that were a foot taller? Love that about him.
I don't think it's easy for a lot of observers to really quantify that assassin mentality, but when you combine it with a player as talented as he is, you're going to end up with a top-shelf pro who knows which little things need doing when in order to win -- in other words, an NBA point.

I like the sound of (new) Mario's attitude.
“I was going to try to compete with Julian, let him show me a couple things. I think I’m long enough, athletic enough to get stops. I think I’m a good defensive player. Coach Self can help me out with that.”
Yes sir!

The court wouldn't have served the Athletic Dept., just Sherron.
Sherron didn't tell his coaches about the summons, didn't make his court date . . . bam, summary judgment. Most likely he'll get an attorney in there who will ask the court for a do-over*.
*Legal term.

Wait a minute -- Sherron supposedly *exposed himself* and rubbed on this lady in an elevator? What the hell?
Is this true?

Man, I still believe that Mike Lee was literally fingertips away from making The Shot that gave us an NC in 2003.
Mike was so clutch at the end of games . . . when he went up for that shot, I just knew it was going in.
Congrats Mr. Lee!

I think Memphis snagged C.J. as part of their recruitment of Xavier -- it might backfire, but without knowing anything of the inner workings of the deal, I'd guess that Calapari is sweetening his position with X. If the brothers like each other, it surely can't hurt Memphis' chances.
C'est la recruiting. Does Xavier's dad need a job? I hear there's one open in Lawrence.
