Brady's punishment comes because he was directly breaking the team curfew, directly after a very ugly episode in which the team got a (metaphoric?) black eye.

KU sells courtside basketball seats for $15,000 each

This leaves me with a strong "meh." While I know that college hoops is a big business, I still cling to the fantasy that it's more than *just* a big business. Moves like this chip away at that belief.

There's no doubt that Darth Athleticus makes a lot of money for KU, and that money will net out in victories in the end, but it isn't as simple as just gaining more money -- we're trading bits and pieces of what we have to get that cash. As we've seen, the corporate boosters contribute the least to the atmosphere, and are always the first to leave.
