Line-cutting, mobbing has KU Athletics reviewing Late Night admittance protocol

Didn't read all the comments, but texashawk10 has it...blame goes both ways. This is cultural phenomenon...we often forget that two sides can be wrong simultaneously. I think this has to do with the idea that people aren't in control of their behavior, that we're simply at the mercy of our environment. So then there's a "good guy" and a "bad guy"...obviously the "good guy" would never cause someone to do bad.

Low-key Ellis learning to lead on young KU team

It's easy to forget that there are (at least) two types of leaders: The outspoken, and the outworkin'. Perry is clearly the latter. Tarik could be the outspoken guy, but I think the team will also look up to Perry as a guy who simply leads by example. Those are the guys who influence me, personally.

Freshman KU basketball player on diversion following July citation

Yeah, Brannen, don't drink so much. When you're too drunk to know whether someone else should drive, you're too drunk. When no one else you know can drive either, well, you shouldn't be drinking anyway because you're underage.

If you haven't had "much" and you THINK you can drive, ...just stop trying to "flex nuts". Real Jayhawks know they got 'em.

And so it begins: Freshman Wiggins, Jayhawks set for season

Huh? If anyone didn't have all of last year it was Tharpe. Self pigeon-holed himself with B-Mac into playing Elijah out of position. He wasn't gonna sit Elijah for Tharpe no matter how well Tharpe played. Don't get me wrong...Tharpe want a world-beater. But he did learn the offense over the two years he's been here, which should be enough to stop the conversation about him losing significant minutes to a freshman.

I think it was the reporter who brought up Mason, wasn't it? Did you listen to the press conference? If I recall, it wasn't like they asked him about Tharpe and he changed the topic.

Besides, when he says challenge for minutes, that means taking 7 minutes from Tharpe instead of 4. I think we all know deep down that Self is trying to keep Tharpe motivated. This isn't like football where you say that the QB is definitive. Self can say all he wants, but he knows that we can read between the lines and that Tharpe will stay motivated. And judging from his comments about Tharpe, I think it's working.

Eyes on the prize: Assistant Jerrance Howard relishes role as recruiter

Wow...Jerrance sure looks like Mario. Or not.

Excited to have him with us! I'm hoping he can maintain some of his Texas presence on the recruiting trail.

"Some people pick schools for the name, but not me."

Uh, this isn't Kansas STATE, dude. This is Kansas. We have a name AND a coach.
