Dunkin’ Detroit may fuel KU’s fire

It works! I intentionally drank A TON of water starting about a day before the final KU vs MU matchup in AFH because I wanted no trace of anything resembling gold associated with me. I proudly proclaimed this winning strategy to my wife before the game. She was not impressed.

Altered anthem bothers Bill Self

Thank you for taking issue with the anthem issue, coach! Yelling "Chiefs" does demonstrate a lack of respect. Hopefully they'll listen to you and finally end it.

If it and the "whoo" can go away for good on the same day, all the better!

Coaching Search 2011: Day 9, 8:38 p.m. - Report: Fedora accepts North Carolina job; Where does Kansas go from here and how quickly?

If the current UNC basketball coach approves of Fedora, it may be a sign that KU should consider itself fortunate that someone else may be its football coach.

Bad move, Mizzou

Pronouncing the "z" in "mizzou" generates a soothing buzz for meth-ravaged teeth and gums.

Jayhawks put on quite a show vs. Baylor Bears

Great game last night! I too though it was paced a lot like KU vs. UNC (2008). I figured our lead would dwindle to 8 before we locked back down and sealed it up. Awesome that it didn't. What a great effort and wonderful exhibition of talent by our hawks! RCJ!

Bears praise KU; Baylor basketball coach Scott Drew: Jayhawks were ‘efficient’

Yeah... Anyone who picks KSU for anything just isn't paying attention.

KU moves up to No. 2 in both polls

Anyone who claims there is no east coast bias has it. We are probably ranked too high, but if we pull through tonight I'll no longer think so. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

Kansas City Chiefs ticket chief Doug Hopkins named new KU director of ticket operations

KU Basketball is still a great entertainment value, evident by the sold-out nature of every game. It would be foolish to leave money on the table given the competitive nature of the sport and the costs associated with running KUAC. There are still usually 5 to 8 games each year that several hundred people can go to for $10/seat if they stay alert to the deals. Those who want guaranteed seating for every game should not be surprised or put off by the need to pay for that luxury, regardless of what may have happened in the now-distant past.

KU Football, OTOH needs to focus on filling the stands while the ship is being righted, and while it's fine to have the current face value, there should be a hundred ways to get them for significantly less if someone is even remotely paying attention. That will keep visiting fans from flooding the stadium and give all KU fans a way to participate. Last year, families could buy four tickets for as liitle as $16/seat/game, and individuals for $30/seat/game... if they looked.
