TIME TO RE-EVALUATE AND FIRE THE COACH.
It was clean to me after the first game that the coach is not in touch with his players, the school, or the expectations of the fans. I am sure Turner Gill is a wonderful man, but the just not the right man to lead the team.
The first game was an embarrassment. He didn't even know how to evaluate the talent he inherited, how to develop that talent, or how to motivate the team to beat a creampuff. Only 1 out of 4 games did the team seem to have a game plan and stand ready to play. that's a coaches responsibility. The players were not prepared and it showed, unfortunately. During half time, the coaches did not know how to make adjustments to improve or correct problems.
Delaying the inevitable coaching change will not serve any purpose. I want KU to be a bowl contender, but from what I see, we won't win another game this year. Even if we can't fire Gill until the end of the season, we need to be scoping coaches that understand the Big 12 and are prepared to coach and compete in that league and at the level needed to succeed.
This season is disheartening to say the least.
