Quick updates on a few Kansas basketball personnel situations

Matt: Anything to report on KU's Silvio DeSousa eligibility appeal to the NCAA?

Does this (dis)organization handle ANY issue in a timely fashion?

Kansas coach Bill Self puts onus on him to help Jayhawks' struggling offense

Matt: At this late date, why is the NCAA unable/unwilling to issue a verdict on Silvio DeSousa's eligibility? At this juncture, there can't be that many unresolved 2018-19 NCAA Division I basketball cases that are still in limbo. This interminable situation is so unfair to Silvio, regardless of the final outcome of the investigation.

De Sousa's attorney: 'It's time for the NCAA to be fair to Silvio'

Could Silvio DeSousa ever PROVE that he was totally unaware that his guardian had accepted $2,500 from Adidas rep T.J. Gassnola to help DeSousa to pay for online classes so he could attend KU a semester early?

KU coach Bill Self previews TCU, talks impact of Udoka's injury

Is it now reasonable to consider Udoka injury prone?

It certainly does appear that he will return to KU this fall for his senior year.

What's next if KU doesn't land Romeo Langford?

Anyone care to speculate why this decision came down to the last possible minute? Was it just to garner as much publicity as possible before making an announcement? If indeed Romeo will finally end up at Indiana as most recruiting analysts predict, why the delay when the family has said "Kansas and Vanderbilt are too far away to make another (unofficial) visit" as he has already done by revisiting IU, and have indicated they want to be able to watch him play next season without the necessity of driving 3-4 hours. Seems like KU would offer the most in-season media exposure for an OAD, with the bonus of a Final Four run, that likely would not be available at either Indiana or Vandy. But again, should this school selection have been that difficult and time-consuming?

Monday's Big 12 coronation the end of a long and winding road for Kansas basketball

From Devonte Graham:

“The bigger part of it is because so many people thought we wouldn’t win it this year. Coach Self spoke with us about the importance that this 14th one would have. They’ll remember all those teams that won the eighth, ninth, 10th, whatever, but the team that won the 14th, that’s a pretty special one.”

No other words needed. What a great quote!
