Former point guard Tyshawn Taylor wins battle of old vs. new at KU camp scrimmage

In case you read these posts, glad you made it back Tyshawn. You are one of my favorite jayhawks, always gave every ounce of energy you had and always played with tenacity and grit. Along with T Rob you carried the team on your back to the national championship game. An unforgettable memory for me is you leading your team out of the tunnel at Missouri and bouncing the ball up to the rafters pre-game at mid-court. That was an intimidating atmosphere and you set the warrior tone for the game.

Dedric Lawson beginning to grasp how to deal with defenses designed to stop him

What a classy young man. A real tribute to his team and to his former teacher and current mentor from his Memphis school days. He is going to experience an ever evolving defensive style in attempt to slow him down and his positive attitude and fortitude to overcome that is great to see. Way to go, Dedric, so glad you are a Jayhawk.

KU coach Bill Self seeking more aggressive approach from freshman guard Quentin Grimes

Grimes will benefit when Uzdoka learns to pass the ball from the post. The ball is sticking in his hands limiting ball movement and squashing opportunity for all his team mates. Once there is more back and forth high-low, we will see more penetration, including from Grimes.

KU guard Marcus Garrett the big winner now that Romeo Langford is Indiana-bound

I've always head the biggest jump in skill for a player usually occurs from freshman to sophomore year. Marcus does seem like a serious kid that will put in the time to make that jump. Looking forward to seeing him play on the defensive end and seemingly with an improved, polished jump shot.

Jayhawks ready to shift into postseason mode

Wouldn't mind loosing in the 2nd round of the Big 12 tournament to minimize opportunities for injuries and allow rest for what really counts.

Frank Mason takes back seat to no other Bill Self player at Kansas

Up to this point, my two favorite KU point guards were Cedric Hunter and Tyshawn Taylor. Cedric because he was groomed by Brown and played like it and could take a rebound and run the floor in what seemed like three steps. Tyshawn because all he ever did was do what his coach asked and he had the heart of a warrior. Frank Mason epitomizes a humble beginning and lofty ending with all the work required in between. He controls all facets of the game better than any point guard I have ever seen in a KU uniform. I am looking forward to this team's home-stretch run under Frank's leadership. I like our chances.

Trae Young's father says 5-star 2017 PG is still undecided

Kansas or Oklahoma, either way the kid can't loose. I am a die hard KU fan but Kruger is an excellent coach and his offense is guard oriented. At least he will stay in the Big 12.

Coleby, Lightfoot slowly sliding into bigger roles for Kansas

Without question, a future coach, preferably at his Alma Mater.
