Not-so-gentle reign

Let's say all this comes out plus more unknown information...and lew decides to keep Mangino. What is it going to do to our recruiting? Parents are not going to want to send their kid to play for a guy who is going to attack him. And it does not matter if any of this is true or not...most minds have already covicted mangino by now especially the minds of the recruits and their parents. I do not know if I have heard anything that deems mangino to be fired but I think it might be inevitable. Lews job is make sure the program is sustainable and keeping mangino might not do that because without recruits and new players coming in...there is no program to sustain! Again I could be wrong and there could be no rippling effect of this but it sure seems Kansas will dropping off interest lists of future recruits!

Let’s get it started

Three observations from last night:

1. Looks like the Morris twins are going to be tough this year! They obviously have put in the time at the gym. A very good sign for this team!

2. Thomas Robinson just might be one of the most athletic post men we've had in a long time. Definately ranks up there with Shady. TR had some great post moves and he ran the floor hard!

3. What was up with the audio? I sat right about the main player entrance and I couldn't hear a thing. The microphones were soft, the band wasn't as loud as usual, then all the mess ups with the songs.

Yes it was just a scrimmage but we sure looked good! I watched the midnight madness show after I got home and we by far looked the best!

Deep team+bill self+sherron/cole=a great chance to cut down the nets in Indy!

Jayhawks fly high as No. 3 seed in Midwest

I think the first game will be very crucial to how we play the rest of the tourney...if we play how we played against mizzou (2nd time)/tennessee we could be elite 8 bound but if we play like we played against UMASS/Baylor...we will be begin to start posting and reading stories about football next year...

here's to hoping sherron and company get outta this funk and go on a 6 game terror and shock the entire nation (including myself). we are capable of cutting down the nets in detroit or going home empty handed. I think HCBS has got these guys focused and ready to play but the first game will be the true test to see which team is going to show up in minneapolis!!!

Big 12 logjam madness

they say the sprint center is sold out. but how many of those tickets are possessed by KU fans who will be looking to rid themselves of those tickets if KU doesn't go to KC. almost every jayhawk fan I talked to in OKC this week has tickets to KC and will want to sell them if KU goes elsewhere. so to me...sold out means nothing...

Little provides spark for KU

Little is going to be a very good 3 man. This team will be very very good when we MM, MM, and QT will step up so we don't have to put 6'5 Little on 6'10 Brackins. how many of those four fouls were him trying to stop someone who was 5 inches taller than him.BTW...that fade away shot and his spin move on brackins for a left handed lay up are two of the best plays we have had all year!

Hinrich's jersey to hang in fieldhouse rafters

all I can say...its about timehe is one of my favorite jayhawks of all time. he had an endless motor. played great defense and then would push the ball on offense every time. while he was at point...ku got so many easy lay-ups and dunks because kirk would beat the opposing team down the floor...he is well deserving of this honor

Arkansas wide receiver gives verbal commitment to KU

chalk another one for coach mangino. 6 foot 7 wide receiver? he should catch quite a few balls in the big 12!!! hopefully a lot of them will come against mizzou...LOL...

Woodling: Self's contract a rarity

didn't bobby petrino sign a 10 year deal with Louisville before he bailed to Atlanta which eventually led to him bailing to Ar-KANSAS? so there is another 10 year deal gone south but I am not putting HCBS in the same category as Petrino. HCBS is a man of class and integrity who cares about a lot more than his contract...I.e getting his assistants pay raises...new facilities built...upgrades to living conditions...then they got his deal done
