Completed chat with Matt Tait

Matt I think those numbers are good. I think UK is the only team that can lose this weekend and it would be disappointing whereas KU UL and OSU have nothing to lose. Should be a great weekend!

If foe looks good, Kansas doesn’t

He did call set plays and EJ and TRob basically ignored it. I was at the game and after TRob took that 17 footer after dribbling down the court Self was about to throw a clipboard on the floor. Same as when EJ did the behind the back dribble with a spin move and tried a fadeaway from about 15ft...we r a very good offensive team when we play in the system but it's obvious that this team is not very good offensively when they try to be hot shots. And not to knock TRob but that how I felt he played. Didn't attack the boards...I can remember two plays where he stood at the free throw line waiting for a pass and a shot went up and he never moved. Just didn't seem he didn't have the focus and energy tonight. I mean when does TRob get out husseled on a rebound after a free throw like he did with about 2 min to play? Not very often!

Why KU has struggled to score against Texas A&M? Plus, predictions for Thursday's game

Last night two of OU's guards got so many easy layups when driving the paint. Tyshawn should have a monster game if he will penetrate often and then possible alley oops and dump offs to the big boys!

‘Still Kansas City’: Self speaks out on Big 12 (minus MU) and K.C. tourney

Actually on 810 in KC yesterday they did research as far as graduates of each local university that lives in the greater KC area and they gave these statistics:

KU- close to 90,000 graduates
KSU- close to 45,000 graduates
Mizzou- close to 23,000 graduates

So from that standpoint...KU and KSU combined have almost 5 times the alumni in the greater KC area than Mizzou. I knew KU had a lot but always assumed Mizzou was a close second but these numbers are telling because KSU has twice as many alumni in KC than Mizzou.

Plenty to play for: Big 12 title, revenge motivate KU in final battle with MU

If I'm not mistaken...if we win today we clinch a share of the big12 regular season championship. Does that mean that the trophy will be in the house to present to us if we win? I know if the past they have had the celebration when the championship was clinched? Haven't heard anyone say anything about this but I think it would be awesom to beat the Tiggers today then get the big12 championship trophy/celebration all in the same day!

A clean sweep: Tyshawn Taylor talks it up after KU victory

I'm sure they are all tired. In 10 days they have played at Mizzou, at Baylor, home against OSU, and now at KSU. Bill Self said last week that today they could take a breath. That's a tough schedule and now with Tech coming to town Saturday my guess is that it just might be an easier week for the team getting some well deserved rest!

Antlers get one last chance to rattle KU

On 610 yesterday they were talking about Mizzou storming the court if they win tonight. Then I believe it was Nick Wright who said KU should storm the court if we beat Mizzou at Allen Fieldhouse. Then someone came on and said the biggest difference between KU and MU is that fans of MU 'HOPE' to win games whereas KU fans 'EXPECT' to win games. Then went on to say that for Mizzou...this game is there National Championship. How pathetic is that beating a conference opponent ranks up there with winning a National Championship. Guess that's what you get when you never experience victory on a National stage like the NCAA tourney or BCS bowls! Dunno if KU will win tonight...but it will be a fun game to watch and a sad one too. Hard to believe this will be last time KU plays MU in Columbia! Oh well...Hawks lets send them out the right way...with their tails and their antlers chopped off!!! Go Jayhawks!
