How Keegan voted

Did Keegan watch Alabama win by 2 points to Tennessee with two blocked field goals, and Texas whip the crap out of Mizzou at Mizzou? Don't blame Texas because the Big 12 north is bad. Alabama isn't as good as #2.

I belive that what Keegan is trying to say is that both Notre Dame and Ohio State made the mistake of telling the players (Opurum and McDougal) that they wouldn't play the position they want to play. KU did, so they got them. The article doesn't flow well, but he wasn't saying that KU's mistake is getting those players.

KU football's top 10 surprise players

Pretty good list, and I am so glad that Onyegbule has finally produced what I always figured he should have been doing all along. No doubt about him being #1.

I think I would would switch Capra and Opurum though. I know offensive linemen aren't noticed much until they screw up, but credit for our improvement in the running game has as much, if not more, to do with Capra's work than Opurum's power. He opens up holes for Sharp also, who was putting up very, very good numbers until his injury.

Yankee Bowl likely to have Big 12 ties

How about just making sure that KU finishs above 7th in the Big 12 from now on and then they won't ever have to worry about playing in NY? But face it, any bowl is better than no bowl, and I have never been to NY.

Jayhawk Flashback: Missouri, 9/27/2003

Thank you for finally doing this game. Definitely the turning point, and I think this was my favorite KU vs Mizzou game ever, with last year's game a close second.

Watching the highlights and remembering the game, I kind of forgot how bad our PAT/Fieldgoal kickers were for a while.

And there really isn't much you can say about Whittemore besides the fact that he got hurt too much. I blame that on not having an offensive line that could protect any of our quarterbacks. Wasn't there a strech of 4 games where we had 3 different starting quarterbacks?
