Opinion: KU’s fast break is as good as it gets

Self is my favorite basketball coach. I never missed Roy. It was obvious to me from the start that Bill was one of the best game coaches I'd ever seen and that if he could bring it some recruits, things were going to be great.

But, my "voice of discontent" hasn't faded. I get what he was trying to do when he came here, but I still say the biggest mistake Self has made at Kansas is squandering the strengths of Miles and Langford.

Travis Releford MVP as KU upends Billikens

Thanksgiving week, 9pm and 8:30pm starts, no decent early games to come in early for, lesser known tourney, etc.

I also don't know how the money works with these events. Maybe it doesn't pay well? Maybe other big teams wanted more guaranteed money to show up?

Opinion: Jeff Withey does it all for KU

First, you're probably right. Maybe I just got out on the wrong side of the bed this morning. I don't think I've ever been critical of Keegan before. This one just didn't seem like something a Sports Editor with 30+ years of experience would put out.

For KU’s Andrew White, ‘III’ part of ‘legacy’

Talk about much ado about nothing on the board today...

I'm going to cop out and say I'm just glad it's basketball season.

Universally reviled Boot Camp awaits KU hoops

It's really hard to explain to somebody who doesn't know first hand how puking your guts out after being forced to run stairs is good for you, but it is.

I'd say the biggest benefit I received from two-a-days and really tough practices was knowing what I could survive. Once you've learned to push yourself past those mental and physical barriers, it's amazing how easy so many things in life become.

.....I think I need to watch the 08 overtime period today when the Chiefs game starts to go the way I think it's going to....

Tough guys: staff picks for Kansas enforcers

Big Dub would certainly make my list.

I have a very vivid memory of him grabbing a held ball in the tourney and throwing the other guy into the seats.

Evan Manning returns to camp

Given what Danny and Bill have done for KU Basketball, I think two roster spots should be reserved for any of their progeny in the correct age bracket from now on.
