Memorial Stadium attendance dipping but not as bad as reported last Saturday

Football as we know it may be a fading fancy as more and more negative repercussions crop up from on field, life long injuries. The only future profits in the sport will be earned by attorneys attached to successful class action, personal injury lawsuits that will decimate
the sport as we know it.

Prep Oubre expected to announce today

Agree. Living in a culture very different from what you have grown up in can be disconcerting at first.

Monday Rewind - Texas Tech: KU O-Line in need of drastic improvement

Well written article that makes a valid point. The coaches are more than competent and given time they will improve this team to where it can compete. Recruiting may become more difficult with each embarrassing loss but it was also difficult starting from zero in the post Gill era. The O- line has not lived up to expectations but I see improvement in other units. Heaps is a good quarterback but maybe for this year we can use the backup QB and revert to the old "wishbone" offense and hope for the best.

KU basketball notebook: Self still saying no to KU-MU

The NCAA enforcement staff has dwindled recently and their track record for performance is spotty (e.g., Miami). I agree with Oakville's take on the situation.

KU basketball notebook: Self still saying no to KU-MU

KU is in a different league from Missouri in more ways than one. Association with the KU brand is a valuable thing.

New TV deal expands KU athletics coverage, access

Raising the academic admission standard has been in the works for over seven years. KU is certainly not deciding all of a sudden to win a national championship in track becasue it wants to position itself to jump leagues. KU is not going anywhere.

Chicago prep Matthews considers KU

I would think the PAC-12 academically trumps the BIG. Hard financial times will put a real strain on universities as they strive to maintain their traditional brick and mortar model. That and other factors like alternative delivery systems to TV will prove financially problematic for overextended conferences.

Basketball notebook: Top 2014 recruit considers KU

Perhaps NBA scouts throw out these comments about McLemore in hopes, naively, that he falls to them in the draft. Any astute GM will see McLemore's talent is worth adding to their team. A little further experience and he will shine in the NBA.

NBA teams size up McLemore, Withey at combine

Kentucky fanatics twitting on the McLemore's decision have exhibited comparable, discombobulated babble found in other regions where generations of inbreeding has left debilitating, genetic scars (e.g., Missouri).
