KU's McCray wins gold medal
Here's hoping McCray and Taylor don't mind lending those medals to be put on display in the hall of athletics. They are certainly deserving of a place there.

Heisman winner Bradford stays at OU
Great for the conference, bad for any North team looking to win the Big 12. At least he gets the opportunity to play in Lawrence.

NCAA official confirms home streak intact
While a nice point of pride, a home winning streak doesn't help us win games. Even so, this streak is only what, two years old? It belongs to last year's team. This team has a lot of work to do to make their own legacy at Kansas, and that legacy has barely just begun.

Extension of Arrowhead deal 'close'
I hate the thought of an entire class of MU players escaping playing in Lawrence. Why not mix it up and play some other north team at Arrowhead?

Wildcats eat their words
All the KSU fans at the game were just wondering when they could fire Prince. Really, has there ever been a better time to be a Jayhawk in the state of Kansas?

KU men's basketball 23rd in preseason coaches poll
We'll start off quiet, but we'll finish the season better than 23rd. 23rd would suggest we wouldn't even make the sweet 16, and I think Self will have them well coached by then.

Recruit Henry in no hurry to select school
It would be great to have Xavier for one year, but I think we're going to be really good either way. At Kansas, Xavier would get great exposure for scouts, and he would get the best coaching in the country. Memphis had more talent on paper than Kansas, but Kansas had the better coaching, and that made the difference. Any coach can take a top recruit and run their offense through them and get them noticed by the NBA, but it take a real coach to take players and make them better on defense and get them to play as a team. That's what Self does, and that would be best for Xavier.

Student newspaper offers options to obscene chant at KU football games
Just like when the other schools fire a cannon at kickoff, they can ring the campanile or have some other loud noise to drown out the chant.

KU-KSU will be televised on FSN with 11:30 a.m. start time
It's great to get this TV exposure, but those early kickoffs are making tailgating a challenge. There's just something sad about being hungover by four in the afternoon.

Self not surprised with preseason poll
Things will be rough at first, but we should be challenging for the tournament title again. I just hope we don't play Texas again for it, they must really hate us by now. Also, isn't it a little sad how much the South is starting to dominate basketball just like football. Can't any North school besides KU get a basketball program up to snuff for more than one year?
