Gary Bedore's KU basketball notebook
I agree with dmb41fan...I am sick of all this Bill Self bashing. You people expect the world out of this guy. We're 19-4 for crying out loud! We're not in bad shape at all. More than ever I want KU to win a natioal championship just to stick it to all of you for your lack of patience and unconstructive criticism!

Super Saturday looms for Kansas, A&M
I don't get what the big deal is, he's only stating what everybody knows. Winner of this game sets themselves up for the best chance at winning the Big 12. However, its not impossible to come back from a loss. I thought we were done last year when we lost to Texas in the regular season but then they slipped up later on and we ended up being co-champs.

A week to remember
bmcmich1 - I totally agree that there is a serious lack of respect for the BIG XII. I was talking with my friend who is an Oregon fan and I mentioned how we just signed that Big XII/Pac-10 deal for the next couple of years. His response was, "big whoop...besides Kansas and maybe Texas you guys have nobody. The Pac-10 at least has some major programs especially with the recruits coming in next year" (I think he was referencing USC, UCLA, & Arizona's recruits). I was pretty ticked by the comment. Hopefully, we can prove next year that the Big XII isn't a joke.

A week to remember
Speaking of great games, do you remember the KU-UK game a couple years ago? Man, was that a great game. The 'Hawks were all banged up that game but they fought hard and came out with a big win over a good Kentucky team.

Jayhawks must face hostility on road
I'm a Kansas boy currently living in S.C. and so I'm definitely heading up to the game to support our Jayhawks! I'm looking forward to it...should be a good one!

Jayhawks rebound from flu outbreak
I don't know much about the the South Carolina team, but I'm a Kansas boy going to school here in South Carolina and I know people here are getting pretty excited about the game. I'll be there in my Jayhawk attire but I must admit I am a little nervous. The Gamecocks could give our beloved Jayhawks a scare. SC will play tough but hopefully KU will play tougher and get a big win out of it. I'm looking forward to it...should be a good one.

KU men ranked 9th in both major polls
With a decent coach...we'd probably be ranked 20 or lower....with a GOOD coach we'd probably be ranked #9...oh wait, we are...guess we have a good coach! =)

Stewart made most of start
Rodrick got fed up with playing for Henry Bibby at USC so he transferred to KU.

Keegan: KU, WSU should meet
You're a moron jimjones...what's Self scared of? Are you kidding me? He schedules teams like Florida, Kentucky, Boston College, South Carolina (which plays pretty tough), etc. and you say he's scared. Give me a break. Would I like to have seen KU and Wichita State play this year, yeah...but just because the game wasn't schedule doesn't mean Self is scared.
By the way, the man can coach and that's why he's coaching the University of Kansas basketball program and not YOU!

Kansas seeking go-to guy
I love how everybody on here posts and comments about what Coach Self should or shouldn't do or how he should or shouldn't run his team. Its great because he was the one hired to coach one of the best teams in the country and probably the most coaching everybody else here has done was with a little league team or managing their fantasy basketball team. I've said it once and I'll say it again, when you've all won as many NCAA games as Bill Self has and when you've taken 3 teams to at least the Sweet 16 like Bill Self has then you have earned the right to tell him what he should or shouldn't be doing with his team. But, until then...just chill out and let the man do his job. We'll see how different a song everybody will be singing in March.
Go 'Hawks!
