While I agree with you when you say that Davidson played tough defense against us, I have to disagree with your assessment that "they executed their offense beautifully against" us. Curry missed 14 shots (12 of them 3-pointers) to go 36% from the field and 25% from behind the arc. As a team they only shot 38.6%. I wouldn't call that beautiful execution.

The game was a defensive battle, and the better defense won.

Not only did Sherron make that pass to Mario as he was falling down, but he had the huge steal off the inbounds pass and then the three. He may have played out of control at times, but he came up clutch at the end.

Keegan: Guessing really is the best

Someone pointed out an interesting observation to me today. In every year that ends with 8 (with the exception of 1968), the NCAA tournament has been won by a team starting with the letter K and by a coach with a one-syllable last name.

1948 - Kentucky (Adolph Rupp)
1958 - Kentucky (Rupp)
1968 - UCLA (John Wooden) [The exception that proves the rule?]
1978 - Kentucky (Joe B. Hall)
1988 - Kansas (Larry Brown)
1998 - Kentucky (Tubby Smith)
2008 - Kansas (Bill Self)????????

This could be our year. Just food for thought for you superstitious types.
