KU men's basketball team records 6th straight perfect APR score

I'd like to see a comparison to other D1 mens basketball programs. What % of programs get 1000 in the nation... conference... etc.

I do recall reading in the past about someone.. I think Self... being concerned that the one and done rule would impact this because guys wouldn't take care of their business in the classroom if they knew they were leaving. Glad these kids have character :)

Doc Sadler officially named director of basketball operations for KU men's basketball

Big B's right... and yet it's the most irrelevant post I've seen. I just don't get it.

Self became friends with all these "cronies" through coaching basketball.. .they are basketball minds... it's their lives... so it's not like he's giving his delinquent, illiterate nephew Joe Blow who's never even been to a basketball game a job.

I guess it's better that he interviews people and hires whichever stranger is the smoothest talker... instead of going with someone he really knows and knows their philosophies and character.

Milton Doyle to play basketball at Kansas University

I agree entirely with you on the griping about Kansas U vs Univ of Kansas... I couldn't care less. If it matters that much... then everyone should throw aways everything that says "KU" on it... because it's backwards. We should be UK and Kentucky should be KU. Big deal!

Where you lost me is how much money you make and what you've contributed. So what? I bet I cap whoop your old, rich butt. But there would be no more or less of a point to that than your income.

Langford is the only one you think of? The list is growing. Xavier... Tyshawn..... I thought the twins committed to Memphis before Calisleazy left. I don't remember if he had committed, but i thought i remembered Selby was headed to Tennessee at one point. Maybe someone can look that one up for me. I'm too lazy.

Specifically on Mr. Doyle... I'm not one to pay any attention to high school stats whatsoever... but.... to average 5 steals a game? Is that pretty common, playing in Chicago? I'd love to hear someone input on that.. is there anything to take from it.. or is it pretty ho-hum for an average D1 guard when he's at the high-school level?

If it is a sign that he's got good mario-like instincts to get in passing lanes and being 6-4.. he could be pretty disruptive on the defensive end... a maybe he'll be a bigger factor than some think. I'm anxious to see.

Bill Self a fan of new recruiting rule

Because the elite recruits wanna just go burn through the inconvenient year of playing in college... and they wanna make it a party and put their game on display. They don't wanna become team-first, unselfish, defense-oriented players who sacrifice their own stats for the good of the team.

The question you SHOULD be asking is why does Bill Self get the recruits he does? Its amazing to me that Kansas is able to continue the great tradition year in and year out. Simply go to weatherbase.com and compare the average climate in Lawrence, KS to most of the schools landing the "elite" recruits. Kentucky is the only one that's somewhat comparable.. but there's the Calipari factor there. That's a different subject altogether. But nearly everywhere else, North Carolina, Florida, UCLA, Texas... Kansas is simply at a major disadvantage in that regard. The warmer the weather... the skimpier the girls clothes.

Seriously, what did you think about most of the time when you were 16, 17 years old? Don't think because these kids' lives are basketball that they are any different about that.

To me, Kansas and Kentucky both overcome a lot to continue to be the top 2 in wins.

I think you got it right w the we got tired of counting rule. They want one less thing to police. All about the workload.

Ex-Jayhawk Julian Wright confident NBA is in his future

I'm glad you said "most"... because I don't see how anyone could say Selby left at the right time. He left when his stock was LOWEST... and it didn't work out in the draft.

Stupid is pretty smart.

There's no telling if Julian would ever be a good pro in ANY circumstance. He went out when his value was highest... not really finding a way to argue that one.

No joke. Did he even watch a game? Don't even comment... because no KU fan wants to hear what you have to say about him if you can't get his name right.
