kushaw - I agree with almost everything you're saying. Brady is a great defender and prides himself on making smart decisions. And he can knock down the 3 ball. Reed and X looked scared to be guarded by quicker opponents.

HCBS will get them back in the groove and I think Dick Vitale said it best. It's early, it's a learning stage for our youngsters and it's good to get tested like this early so we can build off teams that are quicker than us. Tyshon will rebound. He's a competitor.

Why are we horrible at guarding the 3? Why are we horrible at preventing 2nd chance shots? Danny needs to chew some ass.

Brady Morningstar delivers open letter to KU fans

Okay...Okay...Okay...I'm calling bs on some of you...

What would you all be saying if this wasn't Brady apologizing? What if this was Tyshawn, Sherron or one of the Morris brothers? I highly doubt anyone would have given them the same respect or benefit of the doubt. Some would have said "he doesn't mean it...someone is putting him up to writing this aplogy...he is from the streets and doesn't know any better". Don't act like you wouldn't.

Kealing - would you have posted the same letter if it wasn't from Brady?

The bloggers tore up the Morris' when one of them got busted with the air rifle (can't remember which one). You all busted up Sherron for the supposed elevator incident. And you all were quick to judge the Henry's when there was a rumor of them not wanting to sign with KU after their father voiced himself. Does anyone see a pattern here?...

Chalmers officially moving on

Anyone know where you can get the DVD of the Championship Game? Also, there used to be a Year End Highlight video that some company made following each basketball season. Anyone know where to find that? I need as many DVD's of this past year as possible. I agree justanotherfan, I have a feeling we'll be in the Final Four 2 more times within the next 3-4 years. I bet we win another title within the next 5.

Gary Bedore's KU basketball notebook

Bill Self has never recruited shady players, except "Shady" Arthur (bad attempt at pun). We should trust Coach Self even more now with all of the national attention he'll be getting over the next 2 years. He's smart enough to not get involved with NCAA violations and audits. His charisma and youth get him all the recruits, not "friends of the program". The twins had a rough life growing up, and when you're constantly struggling to make ends meet, school isn't the main priority. It will all get worked out and there will be no talk of this in September. Self knows what he's doing and we'll be back in the Final Four within 3 years. Possibly twice within those 3 years.

Counselor Keith

Chalmers will fit in well in San Antonio or Phoenix if he drops that far. He'll be the next Bruce Bowen but shoots and handles the ball better. If he goes to the Suns, he'll be a great backup for Steve Nash and possibly be the future PG. If Rajon Rondo can lead a team to the NBA Finals, Chalmers certainly can.

Counselor Keith

That's why Self is such a great recruiter is because the past players talk to these recruits and tell them that Self will always keep in touch because Bill relates to all types of people. He can go to the streets of NYC and NJ and recruit the kids because they see him as a person they can relate to and deal with. We need to start scheduling Duke every year. I think now that we pounded UNC, we need to tear the Dukie hearts out as well.

Self, Perkins hold preliminary talk

Soobawls - You are correct with 1 thing. The coach gets too much credit and grief if they win or lose. However, he won the National f***g Championship at a school that is under the pressure to reach the Final Four every year. He knows how to recruit, motivate, game plan and teach. He deserves the raise. He deserves the credit. I predict we will win another Final Four within 5 years. ESPN kept showing how crazy Lawrence went after we won. That makes recruiting so much easier.- Proud Jayhawk
