On target

thmdmph... i agree with everything except your last comment. I think for a true big man, Cole is an above average passer, although it doesn't always translate into assists. That's why they say good things happen. He finds someone who's open most of the time, the d rotates and a second or third pass usually results in a wide open shot. He gets no assist, but the d started breaking down when the ball went through him.

Mangino's contract outlines probe

A poke in the chest during a midseason practice or game? Really? Didn't the guy have some pads on that kept that finger from shattering his sternum?

Anyway, the damage is done. If Mangino was gaining any recruiting power or momentum, it's screwed now. But the good news is, there have still been huge improvements made to the program (facilities, etc)... and whoever is coach next year should still have more to attract recruits than we had in the past.

Center Aldrich steady

Did you play defense like KU? My point is, Self makes the choice to keep things relatively simple on offense, especially early in the season. And that choice pays off, in my opinion.

drgnslayer... what you're complaining about identifies both the problem facing coaches and why Self has won wherever he's been.

Coaches only get a certain amount of time w their team, so they have to work on some things more and neglect others. Coach Self's teams labor on offense early cause he knows where the work is most important... on the defensive end.

KUSports.com online editor Jesse Newell and Journal-World sports editor Tom Keegan take a look at wh

I personally think it's not gonna be that random. It's gonna be Cole tonight. The lesson all season long is going to be make them try to stop Cole, first... as it very well should be. Cole was just going through the motions a little in the preseason... and didn't log a lot of minutes. Now it's time to go to work. I predict he goes for 20 and 10 tonight... provided KU doesn't run away with it way too soon.

Shoot for the stars

Everyone noticed it JayVike... it's just that Self went on to say that it meant they knew he'd be tough for people get around him on the post. It wasn't like it was left a mystery. Funny, yes, but nothing to "notice"....

Julian Wright back in the dog house?

There was zero question when he declared for the draft that he could have used another season or two of college. He's just proving the obvious.

Releford, Little to sit out exhibition game

And all those people that thought Reed was gonna be redshirted... Self isn't even considering it! lol

EJ is a strong redshirt candidate because Reed is not.

Sherron/Tyshawn/CJ/Reed... that's plenty until Brady comes back... and maybe brady still won't figure in much at the 2 even when he does.
