Mayer: Hoag unlucky in '52

The only reason I read any of Mayer's columns anymore is so that I can see the comments left by others. They are more entertaining than the poor excuses LJW calls articles that come from this ancient know-nothing.

UCLA sends KU packing en route to second straight Final Four

Is it possible to take away Kaun's scholarship? We'd be better off giving it to another team manager or something as he/she would contribute more to the team than Kaun.

Do you think they will trade Kaun in the offseason?

Keegan: UF duo no match for KU

KU was just as deep as Florida. Our bench outscored theirs 4-2.

Woodling: Oh boy, another Malik

I have never seen a columnist write about so many old, tired subjects. At least this time, you sort of alluded to a current situation. You're making progress. Why don't you get out of your chair and get a story about the KU baseball team, or a spring football story. Good Grief!!

Woodling: Redick rancid vs. KU

I agree that this was an absolutely useless column. This is 2006 and KU is one of the most exciting teams in all of college basketball lately. Surely, you can find another topic to write about, rather than a game that happened nearly 3 years ago.

Polls & the 'Pokes (Spodcasters)

In the last broadcast, you mentioned how KU has had trouble winning games after reaching #1 in the polls. I saw a stat the other day that said UCONN was 35-5 while being ranked #1. Can one of the esteemed spodcasters dig up KU's record as the #1 team?
