FINAL: Morris twins shine in KU's 94-44 victory over UCA
I don't quite remember what I put on the message board, but it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 91-58 KU. I don't expect to run up the score quite like we did in games pre-Memphis, since coach probably got on them to slow down and run the offense instead of just shooting. Lower score with some sloppy play from the freshmen, but they see significantly more minutes than earlier this week.

Shoot for the stars
I dunno, Brock, we've been discussing it on the message boards, and I think we'll be fine next year even without a standout point guard in this recruiting class. For guards, we'll have Tyshawn, EJ, Reed and CJ, plus Brady and Releford could possibly pop down to play the 2-spot. All told, I would really like to have Knight, but I think we'll be fine without him or Selby if they decide to go elsewhere.

KUSports.com online editor Jesse Newell and Journal-World sports editor Tom Keegan take a look at wh
That's the problem, Sutton; we have seven to eight guys who all have the ability to look like the "best" player on the team. At this point you put everyone's name in a hat and draw one at random.

Henry brothers weigh in on Boot Camp
Xavier has his eye on the prize and understands what it takes to compete at this level. How many freshman college athletes understand enough about body chemistry enough to know not to drink milk before a strenuous workout? Well, at least until the first day...
It's great to see CJ pushing everyone, too. Tyrel has been the consensus conditioning king from the reports so far, and aiming to be the best and pushing himself is what I like hearing out of him.
These guys have their heads on straight. Now lets hope Buford doesn't make them run any more gassers.

The Sideline Report with Kale Pick
It's rare to get any athlete to open up about things like this. Great interview.

KU football moves up to 16th, 18th in national polls
Oregon has quite the discrepancy following their win at Cal. 16th in the AP poll but 25th in the coaches?
Are there still people in the national press not ranking Kansas? That's the only thing I see as the factor dragging them down in the polls.

Self starts Boot Camp today
I sincerely doubt anyone will have enough energy to update any Facebook statuses, let along throw a football player down some stairs. HCBS is the Boss.

First impressions
There's no rules against the media talking to recruits, new players, or the like; it's the media's job to get the story, and athletic institutions can't be held accountable for an independent organization. And the NCAA can't punish a newspaper, since it has no jurisdiction over the media (and there's all sorts of first amendment issues at play).
I think they didn't interview any of the young guys because hearing from the veterans about the "new kid in town" is more credible than from the other freshmen. I really would like to hear what Sherron says about the kid.
Frankly, I really liked the article.

Crimson and blue Bud Light cans make appearance on Lawrence liquor store shelves
I'm with Boulder on this one. You can't copyright colors and it would set a horrible precedent if this went to court. However, I would prefer a better beer than Bud Light. How about our local Free State brews?

KU’s Self eager to begin 2009-2010 campaign
anthonyzal (anonymous) says...
We need a guy like Cookie Miller. His attitude and love for the game are unparalleled. He gets a bad rap for his skin color and dreads. Racists.

Yes, Cookie Miller is exactly the kind of kid we want at Kansas.
/end sarcasm
It's not racism to call a spade a spade, sorry to say.
