Bill Self, Tyshawn Taylor and Thomas Robinson (Press Conferences & Post-Game Interviews)

I hope the NBA doesn't ever try to take him away! I hope he loves it enough at Kansas to stay until he is ready to retire! Class act! So proud of our guys for their tenacity!

FINAL: Late rally comes up short as KU falls to Kentucky, 67-59, in title game

In 2003 we shot only 47% from the free throw line. We were by far the better team and we missed 17 free throws. That one still stings but this one seemed magical. Unfortunately UK was the better team and we made mistakes that cost us. You can't make those kind of mistakes playing against a team of that caliber. The reason they both really hurt....both of them have slimeballs for coaches!

Jayhawks plan to return to Kansas at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday

I wish I could be there to welcome this team home! I have always been a proud Jayhawk but this team may go down as my favorite ever! Even though they lost this game, they have fought hard all season trying to prove to everyone that they were better than anyone thought they would be. It has been the most amazing ride!

I wish we would have another year with Thomas but I realize that he HAS to go pro. I'm sure he will think about coming back after this loss but he needs to make money to take care of his little sister and it would be tragic if he came back and had a career ending injury or something. The future is always bright at KU and we will move on without him. I wish him only the best in the future and will follow proudly whichever NBA team he ends up on even though I don't like the NBA.

Bill Self named Naismith national coach of the year

It's about time Coach Self gets some credit for a job well done this season! I <3 him! His half time adjustments are always spot on and these kids believe what he tells them. He is the best!

FINAL: KU overcomes 10-point, second-half deficit, defeats Purdue, 63-60

Our whole family was screaming like we won the whole damn tournament tonight! TRob got hacked on at least 50% of his missed shots that he didn't get calls for. If those had been called and he had gotten to go to the line, I bet we would have won by 8 or more. Just the missed travel call when Purdue was sliding on his rear for 3 feet that resulted in an inbounds play for a quick 2 points for them rather than our possession could have changed the finish. I wouldn't have blamed the refs if we lost because I think you have to figure out how to win regardless of the calls but I will say we didn't get any favors tonight.

RCJH! Have fun in St Louis!

Rock Chalk Mass: Omaha priest shares KU allegiance with his church, congregation

I"m not Catholic but have spent quite a few Sundays at mass many years ago. The masses I attended were so serious that we weren't even allowed to speak while sitting in the pews before the service even started. This story just made me laugh because it seems so out of the norm compared to what I'm familiar with.

Even so with all my adoration of the Jayhawks, I certainly hope he isn't praying for victories because I personally don't think God cares who wins basketball games and I hate to "clog up the request line" with petty things like this when He has many more serious issues to deal with!

'I'm still here': Tyshawn Taylor’s story marked by adversity

The game is definitely on ESPN tonight at 9ET/8Central following the Duke/UNC game. Unfortunately when this happens, we always have to miss the beginning of our game because they won't cut away from the prior game if it isn't over unless it is a blowout. I can't stand either team so hoping it is a blowout is purely for the sake of me not wanting to miss one second of Senior Night at the Phog!
