Charlie Weis: Atmosphere good, but it’ll be better

Love the new tradition but just one complaint, the team didn't stick around for the Rock Chalk chant.

Coaching Search 2011: Day 8, 6:16 p.m. - Fedora now the man at UNC? Or is it ASU? Or is it A&M? Plus, the case for Chris Petersen

Neither had an offensive coordinator from Iowa that K-State hired in 89. That worked out pretty well. Not saying Doeren will be the next Bill Snyder but you need to hire a guy that wants to be here. Plus the last time I checked Fedora and Doeren have coached the same number of conference champs.

So what if KU could hire a coach who:
Was the defensive coordinator from a B1G school
1) That school was the conference champs and played in a BCS Bowl (Rose Bowl)
2) Grew up in Kansas
3) Knows what it takes to win at KU because he was on KU staff during their most successful season ever!
4) Is known as a great recruiter (was actually the recruiting coordinator at KU, during their most successful season ever!)
5) Is only 38 years old
Wouldn’t we all be stoked? That’s who we would be hiring if we hired Dave Doeren LAST YEAR. All he has done since 2010 is win a conference championship his first year as a head coach. I want Fedora but if that ship has sailed, I think we should take a hard look at Doeren.
