Jayhawks fly high as No. 3 seed in Midwest

Game one will be all about defense and mental toughness. It will not be a finesse for us. If we can wear them out early, even though the 3s main rain early, they will not continue. We MUST wear them out, especially their shooters. I hope we come out prepared cause NDS will be.

KU Chap, you are exactly right. I have wondered if Collins should be the No. 1 guard. Maybe, but maybe not. He is like a gambler taking terrible loses and does not know when to stop. He just has to learn when he cannot be the Man and when he can. A young player has to balance a certain belief in himself with the wisdom to know that he is going to have to rely on others. I also agree with the impact of the loss. Rather lose here in the first round than in the NCAA first round.

I would hope that Coach of the Year would mean something to recruits. That Bill Self can make you look even better than you are. That is marketing at its best.

Dead end for name change?

One more thing. I don't like bullies and every time we go to Mizzu (The zoo), whether it is football or basketball, from my perspective we always get bullied. It only started with Quantrail's Raiders but it continues to this day. Just let me know where I can send my contribution. If this is going to happen it is going to take a demonstration-like parade. Students, you can make it happen. Start with a recommendation from the Student Government. Lobby the Administration to get behind you. Organize, because you will not win unless you act. The appeasement crowd will win by default.

Dead end for name change?

For all of those who are historicists, that is part of the reason for renaming the street, of course. It is not only recognition of Lawrence's and Territorial history, it is keeping that history alive. How many Lawrence residents really know about Bleeding Kansas, Quantrail's Raiders, John Brown, and the little Kansas town of Nicodemus founded by freed slaves. All those who laud the election of Obama and do not understand how Kansas was a key battle ground for that eventuallity could use some historical discussion. I say it takes nothing from history and in fact makes history!!! Rename the street, all of it.

I just listened to the clip. Holy cow, Arnett. You wait three months to comment on this did ya? What a bunch of garbage. No wonder every post-game interview sounds like a cliche. All the media types who make their living criticizing everyone else in the world cannot take a mild dose of sarcasm????? The media cannot and will not be made fun of. How dare he (Reesing) make fun of our noble profession.
