LAJayhawkI agree with you that playing horrendously for essentially an entire half of basketball is never really a blessing. I think Coach Self's point was in relation to both how bad we were playing defensively and how well they were playing offensively...i.e a better time to stop hitting shots would be when we are playing lockdown defense.Who knows though? Your guess is as good as mine.At least we got the winAlsoKGPhoto- hahaha, I needed that

Huskers lament loss
On another note, I feel like the article "::insert losing team:: lament loss" has been used many times by the LJW, and each time, I find myself thinking the article should instead be titled "::losing team:: expresses excuses"...or something of that nature if they are determined to keep the alliteration intact...Ok, that's all

All you anti-John Wallers are, as has been noted by some, absurd. The fact that he answers a question honestly rather than skirting around it makes him no less of a player or a person. A lot of elite talents, especially after the age limit was implemented for the NBA, plan on going to college for one year and heading to the league to make money. Especially as a high school senior, the choice does not seem particularly difficult. It then becomes a matter of their play, their coaching, their evaluations, and in some cases, their college experience that dictates whether or not they feel the same after playing their freshman season. But, also like others have said, if Bill Self wants John Wall, then we want John Wall. It's truly that simple. Even when people would grant him nothing else, most people will admit that Mr. Self knows what he is doing when it comes to recruiting. Please let him recruit as he sees fit and enjoy the ride when we have some of the best players in the country to watch.

we were down something like, what, 15 points in the first half, and we come back to tie and subsequently take the lead in the second...and Nebraska deserves to win? Is he being serious? Nebraska had plenty of opportunities to try and put that game away, just like we have had opportunities to put games away in the past and haven't. That is not deserving to win. I don't know if anybody truly deserved to win, given the play, but if anyone deserved to win, it's definitely the fighting KU Jayhawks.Rock Chalk!
