Report: Stern singles out KU duo

plotku,Just because some of us think it isn't a big deal doesn't make us "potheads". Just like your anger at the situation doesn't make you a stodgy old prude. I'll thank you not to pigeonhole me in the future for having a different view of the situation than you.In regards to the article: I'm curious why more attention isn't being put on Beasley for this incident. It's as if the NBA doesn't want to draw publicity towards a young star but doesn't mind hanging our guys out to dry.Anyways, bad choices. A mistake they'll learn from. It's part of being young.

Report: Chalmers, Arthur caught with marijuana at NBA camp

This is terrible! How dare they smoke weed in the privacy of their own hotel room! Don't they realize that they spat in the face of all of Jayhawk Nation!?!Seriously. Get real. They weren't hurting anyone. I don't see how it's any of our business what they do on their own time. They entertain us; maybe they should be allowed to entertain themselves sometimes...

Henry to visit for Late Night

Hmmm. Let's see. You're telling me I could take an unpaid internship in the US for one year? Or instead I could take a high paying job in some exotic European city for a year without even going to college? I think if any of us were in the same position we'd be giving this choice a lot of consideration too. Don't trash on the kid because he's trying to do what's best for himself and his family.kansaspike - I think it's a little different for us in regards to X because his family is a part of ours. Memphis has no ties and would be "stealing" him away from us.

Hoops recruit Henry adds Texas, UCLA

I'll admit, I did like Oden for the one year he was in the NCAA. That being said, I typically don't care for the one year players. That's probably because I hate the one year rule and think it cheapens college athletics. I would much rather pursue players that are at least going to be around for a couple of years and make progress towards a degree. These kids are supposed to be student-athletes. But of course, that's the state that college athletics are in. We can't just stick our heads in the sand and hope things change. So, I guess I'm flip-flopping... I just hope the one-year players that come to KU are the good kids. Not the head-cases looking to use and abuse a school.

Hoops recruit Henry adds Texas, UCLA

Maybe it's because Kansas ISN'T a place for one and doners...If X doesn't want to come, so be it. There are plenty of other great recruits that will be playing for KU and enjoying the next NC that X misses out on. It'll be his loss, not ours.
