Hofstra standout’s plan goes awry

He sounds like a great ambassador and visitor. Good stuff, Newell.

Standards have been lowered

Keegan, go have your nuns beat up Taylor's nuns as apparently you think the nuns have lowered their standards.

This is poorly written opinion. A waste of my time.

In your next bit, please explain why turnover is so high in your dept and give 3 Hail Mary's to Bedore (the savior of your dept).

Fracas sends KU guard Tyshawn Taylor to hospital

The sad part is that it is at the top of the ESPN basketball headlines. Right where Harrison Barnes's mother and all his suitors can see it and use/interpret as they please. And that is why it matters.

Relax: Henrys will fit in

I agree completely, mjlindsm! Chalmers disrupted because he was sagging off his guy getting steals (while Robinson was giving the handler fits). The shut-down guy was Rush.

Relax: Henrys will fit in

mjlindsm, I certainly hope the Henry's are on campus before Rush was. I said that Brandon was in Lawrence before he was even cleared by the NCAA.

Rush was a different situation. Because he declared for the NBA draft (back when that was allowed) and then decided to attend college, KU didn't start recruiting him until JULY 30 (ie: summer was nearly over)!!

He committed to Self on Aug 15th after having also visited Illinois and Indiana in August. He was spending time in Lawrence despite not yet being cleared by the NCAA. Yes, he started classes late, but he was around and the wait was for the NCAA to approve KU giving him a scholarship.

Of the NBA issue, Self said: "He has not once mentioned to me, 'I want to be out of here after one year.' He has never said he is one and done. He said, 'I want to come to Kansas.' There, mjlindsm, is your commitment from Brandon Rush.

Relax: Henrys will fit in

Except that Brandon was in Lawrence before he was even cleared. He was hanging out with his future team and playing pickup games pretty much before he even committed to Kansas.

Collins better get in shape

Who honesty thinks the Henry's are going to think boot camp is a super killer? I doubt it. Physically, I imagine they will come in better prepared than anyone else on the team (just a hunch). Sure, they will have to prove themselves just like everyone else to see the floor, but I'm not questioning their ability to sweat, work extremely hard, or get out of bed on time. It wouldn't surprise me if they break sweats before their future teammates are even out of bed.

Family comes first

I can't argue with a thing here. It is all good.

You be the coach: A statistical exercise

Thanks, Jesse, for the Boschee and Robertson stats.

You be the coach: A statistical exercise

Jesse, other than Bochee and Ryan Robertson, I can't think of any other point guards who got starting time (in the range of players you listed). Am I missing a bunch? Is there a reason you did not include Robertson and Bochee or can you through out their lines too for discussion purposes, please.

By the way, I've never thought a bad thing about TT. All last season I was still basking in the glow of the NC season.
