Kansas football afflicted with dropsies

Wow. I'm not a CW apologist but c'mon. I'm just as pissed about the offense as anyone and believe if things don't get better on that side of the ball we should have an OC calling plays. I don't think you remember how pitiful our defense was under Gill. In 2011 (TG 2nd season)only 3teams failed to score 40 (ISU-13 Baylor-31 Missouri-24). 3 teams scored more than 60 and it would have been 4 but KSU only scored 59. The worst was by far OSU putting up 70!! How soon we forget. The fact that our defense sucked last year but still looked 100% improved should give us hope. We shaved 50 points off if OSU last year and only gave up 20. That should tell you a little something about how horrible our defense was under Gill. The defense looks much improved so far this season, even though it still early. That alone tells me we are moving in the right direction. I would like to see that kind of improvement on the other side of the ball. Stop freaking out. Mangino did go to a bowl in his 2nd season but in his 3ed he only won 4 games. Lets not forget how bad we were when CW took over. There are very few words to describe the gravity of how bad we were. All that being said, I think it's still too early to light the torches and grab the pitch forks but we need to get better on offense.

Opinion: Charlie Weis too ambitious in trying to balance coaching, coordinating

So what you are saying we should thank Lew Perkins? Clueless.

Lone-star letdown: Offense disappoints in KU's 23-14 loss to Rice

Oh my god. I had already suppressed the image of him running that read option. That was HORRIBLE!! And I wondered the sane thing about the overhand pass also. I thought that if you run that play why not just a shovel pass. So bad.

Lone-star letdown: Offense disappoints in KU's 23-14 loss to Rice

Totally dejected. That sums up my feelins. Defense wasn't great but made plays. WTF is up w/ the offense? It's pitiful!! 70% of our offense came on two plays, Sims long run and Piersons TD. Other than that totally pathetic. Even the play calling, what was up w/ that STUPID double pass call? Talk about a buzz kill. That was so hard to watch, if you weren't able to see the game consider yourself lucky.

Kansas running back Darrian Miller relishes chance

How many years eligibility does he have? I'm confused, I know he played here his Fr year, did he not play at Butler County last year?

Game Balls and Gassers: South Dakota

You can't say the entire team. The fact that we kicked a 45 yard FG is proof of one area we have improved 100%. It wasn't pretty, especially early but it's obvious our offense is better than than last year.

Jake Heaps has routines down

Well... It wasn't a big enough emergency to keep him from enrolling back at his Juco. If he could do that, he could send a text.

Thank god for my Xbox and the ESPN3 app! I guess Slater is finally gone. I will be curious to see where he lands next year. HCCW has been open to guys returning, I wonder if he would keep the door open for him to return next year. I'm not holding my breath, it's kinda $hi-Tay that he left the way he did. Even if you had a true family emergency, isn't it still common courtesy to tell your coach or the school that was going to pay for your education that you won't be returning?

Opinion: Questions surround O-line at Kansas

Honestly, I don't think we were replacing much. Yes they were experienced and had a lot of starts but in the 48 games Hawkinson started, how many were wins? I look for this year to be an improved squad across the board. Even if they aren't as good of run blockers as last year, the fact that we have a passing game (hopefully) should make a big difference.

Paul Pierce making noise in New York

Lol. My bubble? I made American Airlines Top 3% of flyers the last 3 year years. (I don't travel for work) I'm going to Singapore for 4 days this month just for a mileage run to keep my status. I've seen plenty. The main reason I ask is b/c I live in "FABULOUS LAS VEGAS" and despite what people think this place is a HUGE DUMP! And my only impression I have had of NY has been the airport Radison and a few drives between JFK and LaGuardia. But now I know from all these posts it's fabulous in Brooklyn. Next time I'm flying through I may take a day or two and check it out.
