Perry Ellis injured early, Self Made suffers lopsided loss in opening round of TBT

It seems like Perry's injury might have shaken the team. Maybe next year's Self Made team will do better.

One-time signee Jayden Russell granted release from KU football

I assumed the score was his composite, not the sum. Going from a, let's say 13 for example, to a 23 composite would turn some heads. The article doesn't say anything about a sum.

Kansas OL Hakeem Adeniji has lofty expectations for senior season

Agreed. Most starting tackles in the NFL are 6'6"-6'8" and 310lbs-320lbs (or even heavier)! Giants! Wasn't Hakeem like 6'4" and 260lbs or 270lbs as a freshman? Impressive transformation.

One-time signee Jayden Russell granted release from KU football

A 10 point jump in an ACT score is a bit suspicious. Plus, he had to take it three times. I suppose it's possible he enrolled in some type of ACT training course to get his score up, but I would hope he didn't hire someone to take the test for him. It's all really disappointing since he was KU's biggest cheerleader in Miles' first recruiting class.

Continuity expected to benefit KU O-line, with lack of 2019 signees

Hope springs eternal, so I'm hoping that KU might actually have one of the better O lines in the B12. The projected starters are all upper classmen who showed some improvement last year. Having someone like Pooka certainly helps. I still remember when several of these guys were starting as freshmen or sophomores and getting totally blasted play after play. I'm hoping that ship has been righted with the addition of high school recruits.

'This is where I want to be': Clint Bowen provides continuity for KU football

I was one of those who was calling for Bowen to exit stage left, tout sweet! Bad continuity is not good continuity. Now that he's a safeties coach, I can take him or leave him. As with Beaty, it's not always about whether or not you like someone (I think Clint Bowen is a fine person). It's about whether or not they can get the job done. As a DC, he simply couldn't do it. I can understand having a bad season or two, but when your defenses consistently rank as some of the worst year after year, how can you keep making excuses? Were people making the same excuses for Mike Stoops? All that being said, he is probably in the right position within a power 5 program. I can certainly see him as a DC or HC in a lesser league (e.g. Sun Belt), but not in the B12.

Pooka Williams reinstated by KU football after domestic violence arrrest, will miss season opener

I agree. I'm happy with the way Long and Miles handled this. No knee jerk reactions. Adopting a wait and see attitude. For what we know, this seems reasonable.

Pooka Williams reinstated by KU football after domestic violence arrrest, will miss season opener

Based on what we know, this seems reasonable. Glad to have him back. Glad he's been given a chance to redeem himself.

Done in Sacramento, where might new free agent Frank Mason end up?

If he can stay healthy Frank deserves a spot in the NBA. The national player of the year should not be riding the pine.

Drew Harvey could play key role for inexperienced KU linebackers

This year we have Drew and Dru. Next year we might have Krishawn and Kershawn. That'll be easy to keep straight.
