Journal-World websites to require commenters to identify themselves

Folks, it's been a good ride. I'm hoping this forum for commentary will reappear in some other venue. Perhaps Jaybate can create Jaybate.com, and post links to the LJW articles, and we can comment as we used to on the Jaybate.com site.

I feel a bit sorry for the all of the LJW writers, because I can't believe that they are in favor of this either. They're probably having to spout the company line on this topic.

There are far too many regular commenters for me to attempt to single out for praise. Thank you for sharing your comments, I have (mostly) enjoyed reading them.

As for me, well, I'm not going to create a Facebook account, In case anyone is interested, Chris 1955 is really Chris Buffington. Goodbye and goodnight!

Kansas hoops recruit Kelly Oubre feels ‘love’

Houston. When you absolutely, positively, have to blow a NFL playoff game with a 32 point 3rd quarter lead, or get swept in the World Series, there's no place like it.

I feel sorry for the kid who has to drive the '97 Marquis Grandpa car. Bummer.

Hard-earned goal: In quest to play, KU soccer's Salazar tackles grueling course load

Wow. What an amazing story of endurance and persistance. Congratulations to Liana!

I do wonder what the NCAA rationale was for imposing this sort of ruling. I bet you can't find another example of this type of NCAA behavior directed at another women in all of Division 1 Women's soccer. At times, I have wondered whether I'm paranoid for thinking the NCAA has it in for KU. This article leads me to believe that I'm not crazy.

The NCAA has consistantly invoked ridiculous rulings on KU athletes in recent years. I'd like to know what the real story is between the NCAA and KU.

"Pay Heed" Season Finale Part 2 recaps 2012-13, looks forward to upcoming year

Do any of the BB players at Kentucky ever graduate? I'd love to see a comparison on the number of KU graduates vs. UK graduates in the Bill Self era.

KU football adds home-and-home series with Houston for 2019-20

I saw a figure of 3500 KU alums in the Houston area. The same information showed 5500 KU alums in the Dallas area. Judging by the KU fans I saw at Rice stadium last week, I think we can count on great butts in the seat support. I'm guessing we had nearly as many fans as Rice did last week.

I welcome the KU/UH home and home series.
