Opinion: 2013-14 Jayhawks' ceiling limitless if ...

Selden is no joke my fellow Jayhawks. With all this talk about Wiggins, people tend to forget about Selden.

He's projected to be a top 10 pick in the NBA draft next year. We have four people projected to get drafted in the first round, 3 of them are lottery picks and freshman too!

Reed game-winner highlights annual KU alumni classic

That's a great idea, Jaybate.

I used the think the idea of Kevin Young playing in the NBA is crazy, but I changed my mind as I saw him develop and improve over time. Especially when I see a guy like Taj Gibson doing well in the NBA, I have no doubt Kevin young can do well too. Taj Gibson was nothing special in college and I was disappointed when the Bulls got him but he turned out to be really good. If that doesn't work out for some reason, there's no doubt he's good enough to play in Europe.

Wiggins followed heart in signing with Jayhawks

Thank you!! Well said. It used to annoy the hell out of me when people say how getting one and dones "isn't the KU way". Those people don't know what the hell they're talking about.

It just so happened that we've ended up with 3 or 4 year players, but for any coach to purposely turn down a top 5 recruit that's a potential one and done, would be stupid. The fact that Self tried to recruit Derrick Rose and John Wall was enough proof, I thought, yet I'd still see people on the message boards talking about how Self avoids those kinds of players on purpose.

Following second meeting with Bill Self, guard Rio Adams decides he will transfer from KU

I don't get it. Wasn't everyone comparing him to D-Wade while he was still being recruited? Wasn't he one of the top players coming out of high school? Was really surprised to see him get so few minutes, and now transfering.

First to ‘worst’: Lowly TCU stuns Jayhawks

Robin Smith,

Gotta ask. Where did you here that from?

Bill Self: Don’t count out Longhorns yet

Yeah, not worried about this game. Barnes and Scott Drew are the worst coaches in the Big 12. Texas and Baylor have had more talent than we have the last few years and have done nothing with it!

Under the lights: Unproven Jayhawks face tough test against Spartans

All I have to say is RUN & GUN!

I've seen plenty of UNC - Michigan State games and Carolina always wins, by a lot! Roy is known for the run & gun, up-tempo game, and I think that works best against Izzo. Izzo likes to set up his offense at half court/the perimter, which takes longer to score, and therefore they don't put up enough points.

RUN & GUN, play solid D and we got this. Rock Chalk!!!!

Prep PG down to Irish, Illini; Bill Self visits F Aaron Gordon

It also irritates the hell out of me when people talk about how "it's not the KU way to recruit one and dones". Do you guys realize Self was trying to recruit Derrick Rose and John Wall?? He almost broke a NCAA rule trying to get him, although it was a minor one.

X and Selby just happened to be not nearly as good as advertised but you really think Self is gonna turn down a John Wall/D Rose/Michael Beasley/Kevin Durant type of player if he can get one?? Unfortunately he just hasn't had much luck with them but don't think for a second that he isn't going for those players just like any other coach.

KU-Michigan State basketball game will be part of ESPN marathon

Yeah, that's awesome! You would think this is something the LJW would have posted... I kept checking the website over the last few days and didn't see anything. I had to go to youtube to find it!

KU’s Elijah Johnson cautious at camp

He has been coaching in the NBA Development League for some time now. He was actually Keith Langford's coach for a little while, when he was still in the D league.

Don't get the wrong idea, I'm not defending him by any means 'cause I think he's a scumbag, but just responding to your question as to what he's been up to or if he's coached in a while.
