Do you think that Keith Langford (KU's sixth-leading scorer all-time, 1,812 points) deserves to have his jersey hung in the rafters at Allen Fieldhouse?

Well, I think Keith has a stronger argument than many people. Of course he's the 6th leading scorer of all time, which is huge. He also was as important as anyone in the 2003 runner-up team and may have been the MOP if Collison could have hit some more freethrows or if Lee could have gotten that 3-pointer off to tie the game. I think too many KU fans only think about Bucknell when Keith was clearly injured. Keith played with serious injuries almost all of his senior year, particularly at the end, but he continued to give everything for that team. He was a key part of 2 FF teams and clearly a team leader after that. Without the Roy upheaval, who knows exactly how good he could have been. Either way, his place in KU lore should be firmly solidified at this point. I just don't see why it hurts to retire jerseys and why everyone is so concerned about overdoing it - it's still an honor when you look up there and you can't really say that Keith Langford being up there would diminish those other players - or himself.

Jayhawk Flashback: Georgia Tech, 1/1/2005

I we sure that's Julian in that highlight? I thought he never took a visit here. And would he be visiting with Ty and Sherron, that would be a weird combination.

Q&A on the recruitment to KU of Xavier and C.J. Henry

Hey, thanks for laying out the scholarships that clearly. There's often a lot of question/debate on that topic here, so it helps when you periodically put that information into articles referring to recruiting.

It might also be interesting if you could ever address this Morningstar paying his own way, if needed, rumor. Is that completely a message board/internet construction or has Brady's family made some actual public indication on that question?

In front of about 50 people at his high school gym, Xavier Henry announced he would play basketball

What are you talking about Jhawkerman? If you can't handle both - PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND POST THE VIDEO! Just kidding of course, drive safely guys.

Maryland pursuing Stephenson

Seriously - either would be great additions to the team, I'll be happy either way if we get one of them. An additional benefit of getting X here would be keeping UK from adding another great player, but we'll be fine either way.

Oklahoma ends Big 12's run...time to reflect

Anyone familiar with a list of other teams (outside of the Big XII) who have been in the Final Four and played in a BCS game (or its equivalent) in the same year? Florida, I believe got both titles in a year. Anyone else? Anyone besides Florida pull the BCS/NC in basketball in the same year?

Unfinished business

Nor should you have any regrets, Coach. Some things to work on? Yes. Some things we wish would have gone differently? Yes. But, regrets? Not on your life. It was an exceptionally fun run and maybe, even more than NCs, should remind some of us why this program is so great.

FINAL: Michigan State uses late comeback to take down KU, 67-62

Oh, and sorry, I will not be rooting for an all-Big XII Final. I'll root like heck for OU, but as far as I'm concerned, MU could lose by 100 tomorrow and I couldn't be happier.

FINAL: Michigan State uses late comeback to take down KU, 67-62

Hey - HighEliteMajor, why wait until next year?

This was a fun year and next year could be special. Yes, KU should've won this game, but we didn't. Some would say that we shouldn't have won last year's NC, but we did. In both games, missed freethrows and offensive tentativeness cost a team a game. We had a lot of great luck last year - we didn't get such good luck this year, that's the way it goes. And anyone who blames a particular player or coach for tonight - go away. This was a team loss, along with bad luck and some bad bounces. KU wins that game 7/10 nights most likely.

FINAL: Michigan State uses late comeback to take down KU, 67-62

These guys need to man-up tonight. For a team with nothing to lose, they're sure playing really, really afraid. I love this group of freshman, but there isn't a "tough" one in the bunch really. No Collins or Chalmers attitudes in the group - and now Brady and Tyrel are so afraid of taking a dang shot. It's sickening to watch their lack of aggressiveness and courage threatening to cost them a game they clearly should win.
