Low-key Ellis learning to lead on young KU team

Leaders "set the bar" and "show the way". Some kids learn better by watching and are shown the way by observing. Some kids are shown the way by listening. Perry is a leader by example. Those players that respond to imitating Perry's hard work, the time and effort he puts in are being lead too. We can and do have more than one leader on this team that fits each players learning style.

Kansas basketball Media Day

Okay, does anybody see what I do? The way Andrew's hair goes over his ears makes him look like a Vulcan?

Lakers give Josh Selby a shot

Cleveland - I sort of have this ESP notion that Wiggins may stay another year also. This is bolstered by the fact that he seems to take relationships VERY SERIOUSLY. He was very appreciative and attached to his high school. He mentions all the love he gets from Lawrence folks and definitely was his own man when it came to choosing a college. He doesn't seem to be the typical OAD kid who has stars in his eyes and is rushing headlong to the NBA ASAP - even though that is where he wants to end up. When asked last year what he wanted people to know about him he said "That I'm only 17". Now why would he say that? Could it be others are trying to make him grow up too fast and he recognizes it? His parents are Florida State graduates/alum and know the good things that come with college. I'm not going to hold my breath for Wiggins to stay but since he's a horse of another color I wouldn't be surprised either.

Heat exercising option on former KU guard Mario Chalmers

Mario may not be a "star" but he is an integral part of a NC winning team and VERY HIGHLY visible to recruits as a Jayhawk. Of all the ex players, I wouldn't have picked Mario as the one to go farther than most. Yes, he was a fantastic college player but I would have guessed some of our taller/bulkier players would have made it further. I'm proud of Mario.

Andrew Wiggins scores seven points in Bill Self campers game

So very happy Andrew is settling in in Lawrence. I've thought all along that picking a college, for him, was going to be about relationships and comfort in his surroundings. He sounds like a really nice young man.

Forward Hunter Mickelson says he hopes to be transfer success story like Jeff Withey

Welcome, Hunter. You are gonna love KU when basketball season rolls around. You seem like an articulate young man. Too bad KU nation can't see you this year but patience pays off around here!

Joel Embiid happily signs for campers

Uh.......his twitter account is @jojo_embiid and has been all last year. I am sure we aren't the only ones to give a kid named Joel/Joe a nickname like that. Sometimes we can get myopic about our team.

Former KU guard Sherron Collins working on pro comeback

Sherron - Too much advice from well meaning fans. I'm just gonna say Jayhawk nation is behind you. You can do it. You'll always be in our hearts.
