Weis to KU defense: No loafing allowed

Coach Weis needs to make Pierson our "Percy Harvin" on the field. The Jayhawks can obviously live without the off-field antics of Harvin...haha, but with Pierson's agility and speed, he'd be dangerous in the slot, on the end, or in the back field. Super versatile, just like Harvin.

Nick Krug describes his view of charging Iowa State fan; Can Bill Self get to 1,000 wins?

Classless? Please! What about all those classless ISU fans yelling obscenities about KU before the game. In Jesse's live blog before the game it was reported their fans were yelling F@&$ Kansas! How's that for classless. I'd have dunked the ball too. Some nerve their Busch League fans have.

Change of pace: After Army, NIU shifts gears for KU

Coach Chuck needs to use Tony Pierson in a Percy Harvin like fashion.

TP's got the speed and athleticism to make the plays in the backfield, on the edge and in the slot just like Harvin. He proved it last weekend. Harvin is only 5'10" and around 185lbs. Those numbers are similar to TP's. I not sayin', I'm just sayin'. Think about it CCW!

Monday Rewind: TCU

On Tait's first note of this blog, did anyone else feel like the officiating for the game wasn't all that stellar? I fee like if I had a quarter for every no-call for holding on TCU I could've done a few loads of laundry over at Duds 'N Suds.

Just watch the 4th quarter around the 6:25 mark. There was clearly holding on TCU which was a huge play for them because it gave them a 1st down on a 4th down play. You could totally see the TCU lineman grabbing the KU defensemen's shoulder pads. This is so clear because you can totally see it over their QB's shoulder when they show the play in slow motion. Also, the goal line play for KU near the end of the 4th quarter when Crist fumbled at the goal line, the TCU left side was clearly off sides. TCU jumped before the ball was hiked.

Probably shouldn't nit pick or blame the game on the refs, but it'd be nice to call it even.

Upset NIU? You bet

"Pounding Cox..."? Hmmm, seems like a better choice of words could've been picked there with that sentence.

Do they sell Crimson & Blue Kool-Aid at Dillion's? They must be sold out cause Keegan has all of it in his cupboard. Usually Keegs is first to be devil's advocate with all things KU Athletics. Oh wait, maybe he's using reverse psychology devil's advocacy. Very interesting. Now we're cooking with butter!

What caught my eye at Day 6 of Fall Practice

Hey Taitinator,

I think I know the correlation between Weis and him playing Bon Jovi and Springsteen.

Like Weis, they're "Jersey Guys." Both Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen are from New Jersey and so is Weis, if I recall. Maybe he's just staying true to his roots....hehe!!

Maybe you could ask him in the next press conference....hehe!

Turner Gill left recruiting abyss

Keegan is finally drinking the Ahperse Kool-Aid!! Only took TG getting fired and hype of a new coach to bring out the revelation. Or, he figured out you just add a little bit of water and sugar and Voilà!

Apherse is probably rolling his eyes after reading this article while saying, "About time and welcome to the darkside Keegs!!"

Two KU football players face charges after weekend fight at The Hawk; both players dismissed from team

Maybe they were confused by the street signs. Probably needed them simplified.

That, along with a lack of condition. Sounds like the chase by the po- po started in the 4th quarter of this dramatic event.
