Kansas University's next football opponent, Louisiana Tech, opened its season with an ugly 22-14 victory Saturday over Mississippi State in Ruston, La.
The teams combined for eight turnovers and 14 punts, but Tech claimed its first win over a Southeastern Conference school since 1999.
Saturday, Tech managed just 243 total offensive yards and 16 first downs, but recorded four interceptions.

La. Tech is just what we need before we head to South Florida. That South Florida game should be tough so we need to prove ourselves against a better team than FIU before we head down there.

Very ugly game, but Tech did beat a SEC school so you have to give them some respect. A GA Tech transfer is their starting QB and they have some playmakers, Hawks need to step it up as is the case throughout the season.
