Have to disagree with you Brock. You really like those alt uniforms Nike produces? Ugh. Camo is better than those. Though I'm not a fan of the alt uniforms KU wore at WVU. The best are the retros.

I do agree with yo Brock. Switch to Nike and tell them to stick with a KU only original uniform for basketball and get creative with football.

adidas has been way better to KU than Nike ever was. Trust me, I worked in athletics at KU while I was an undergrad a couple years ago. Nike was great for football and basketball, but the non-revenue sports got next to nothing. When adidas stepped in, they agreed to provide gear for every sport the same way. Overall, adidas has been much, much better for KU.

UGG-Lee unless you're a Bengals fan. These are the second design duds this year. At least the Home Whites are so much better than the Blues. I didnt even like wearing the Red Uni's in past years before they came out with these alternate monstrosities. They even screwed up the Throwback uni's given they didnt have short shorts. Throwbacks are OK because they reinforce tradition, but the whole alternate craze is crazy bad.

Top players want Nike Uni's and Shoes and we are usually competing against NC and KY for the same kids. They also want their name on the jersey, every game, regardless of Nike or Adidas!

As far as the uniforms go, I don't think they're that bad and I understand the reasoning behind it but being a traditionalist, I don't really look forward to seeing us play in these uniforms.

As far as the red uniforms go, they have a little history behind them. The Jayhawks wore the red uniforms on the road during their '52 championship season as did the '88 Jayhawks when Larry Brown brought them back.

Somebody get this poll to the execs at Adidas, stat! You lose Adidas. And the poll is being nice. There isn't an option to vote for "worst uniform ever". I'm sure that pick would be hovering in the 85-90% range just like "don't like them" is now.

I'm not a fan of camo on anybody but soldiers. However, I do think they are infinitely better than those idiotic blue on blue on blue on blue ones we had to wear earlier.

Generally, I'm not a fan of gimmicky uniforms and prefer that schools use their regular look, but some of the special ones that companies come up with are pretty good. Unfortunately, I just don't care for either of the ones we've been given this year.

Hopefully, if they come up with more stuff next year, it'll be something more of us like.

Geez, what are they thinking? Can't they just concentrate on the game and try not to create a spectacle? How do these uniforms speak to the tradition of KU basketball? Coach Allen would want his name removed from the Fieldhouse.

We are Kansas, we consider our uniforms iconic. Let the lower end programs mess with the branding. We should stay with the standard. We are Kansas. Let's get the football team to 6 wins, then change the uni's. That is overdue!

KU has changed lettering script, striping, etc., many times in recent years and through the decades. There is no iconic Jayhawk style of uniform. Hence, the idea that these unis hurt our tradition or recruiting is bogus. Its nice to add a little spice from time to time. If anything, these shirts and shorts will help our recruiting efforts. Maybe we should wear some Naismith era bloomers in order to pacify the traditionalists.

I don't care if it is Adidas, Nike, or Joe's Suits down the road. Ugly is ugly. Not only should a KU uniform respect the tradition of Kansas basketball but why in the world would we adopt that same scheme as all these other schools?

Those look like jams from the 80's, the predecessor to Zuba pants. I guess I like that I can distinguish player numbers with these, which wasn't the case with the tone out jerseys. Can't we just get a red kit for alternates? The 88 jerseys were better alternatives to these. As long as we don't see early 90's teal jerseys make a return.

The Jayhawks wearing the blue shorts would look like the equipment manager forgot the uniform bottoms forcing the players to play in stretched out knit boxers some grad assistant grabbed in a rush trip to Kmart. The camo shorts, in general, look to be designed by someone whose sense of style is forcing trendy toward cutting edge with no notion that less can be more, that good design must fit time, place, expectation, sometimes tradition and always the client and the client's client (that's us fans). The disigner is confusing a basketball court with a fashion runway and a basketball fan with a judge on Project Runway.

I can't believe an organization like Adidas didn't do any opinion research on the new camo uniforms. It would be easy to get some fans together and run several designs past them. The poll here has 76% strong disapproval. And you have to win the fans over, first. I think camo makes our players look like meth cookers.

I don't remember what the type of uniform or the color scheme but it seemed like the most recent alternative uniform was uncomfortable for the players. I seem to remember Jeff W. tugging at his arms while walking on the court waiting for play to resume.

For the love of all that is holy, please stop it with the alt jerseys. Can anyone, anyone tell me 5 alt jerseys of any sport or of any team you liked? Maybe 1 here or there out of how many? 1,000's? What a croc, lets go out ther with the white or blues and play and stop all this nonsense.

It's all about the money. The uni's are most likely made in a sweat shop factory in Indonesia with guards toting caning sticks or phazers set to stun.

Absolutely do not care one way or the other. I'll bet the team doesn't care either. You put on the uniforms and go out and play.
