How many road losses do you think the Jayhawks will have in Big 12 play?

288 people so far think we'll lose to Texas and ........?

27 people think we'll lose 5 or more games! These must be a combination of the KY fans and others who invade our site.

Oh...memhawk...I was thinking the non-con loss against Tenn. I mistakeningly voted 2. I forgot this is for B12...I would change my vote to maybe 1 road. I don't even know that it will be Texas.

Possible losses...KSU, MU, Texas and OSU. We will lose 2 of those.

All teams can expect atleast 2 road losses in this conference this year........the Big 12 is stacked. Its not a bad thing.......look at Carolina, they have 5 losses and they are still top 25........dont jump off the cliff people if we lose at MU or at KSU, or at ISU........u can jump if we lose all 3 though.

We won't lose anymore regular season games from here on out! We might lose a Big XII Tournament game, but nothing else. I have faith in this team.

We're better then everyone, and we're better then the home court advantage any team will get against us. KU '10 Big XII Champs, '10 National Champs.

When we play at Texas, we'll be up for it, and you'll see that KU is just plain better then Texas when both teams bring their best game.

I think we have to face the fact that this team is not that good. Cole Aldrich has taken a step backward and our bigs are just not that good right now. I think we will lose 5 or more games in the big 12. I hope that I am wrong but, I just don't see hustle in this team or good defense.

Getting through conference play without a loss at home will be tough this year -keeping our home streak alive. We are going to be playing several home games against teams that are equal to or better than Cornell.

How many folks think the streak will be broken? How many losses at home?

Based on recent play, I'd say the team is headed for a fall at home right now. Of course, that could change if we improve on D, etc...

Road games we should win - Nebraska (done), Colorado, Iowa State

Road games we could win - Oklahoma State, A&M

Tough road games - Kansas State, Missouri, Texas

Missouri is a beast at home. They own the second longest home winning streak in the country. K-State is outright nasty in Manhattan, and they probably have their best team since the Mitch Richmond days. Texas is one of the best three teams in the country. I don't think we will lose all of those games, but chances that we don't get tripped up by either OSU or A&M and that we take 2 of 3 from KSU, Mizzou and UT aren't good.

Have you already forgotten about the Tennessee game?? Did you not see how awful we looked? I could easily see us losing 2-3 conference games - Texas, K-State on the road, and maybe Mizzou on the road. Probably not Mizzou though, usually we end up losing to a team no one would have ever expected.

Beleive me, I hope I'm wrong, but I'm just sayin'. This team definitely has a lot of things to work on. The Big 12 is really good this year so I wouldn't be that sure that we'll have just 1 road loss in the conference.

Going into Wed night. The Big 12 was 112-1 at home this year.

I would expect all Big 12 teams to take a loss or two on the road, even KU and TX.

I'm with the people that we have TAM, OSU, and UT, and that probably 1 or 2 of these we will lose.

KSU may have a tough place to play at, but I think KU has only lost there 1 time in 25 years, even with a good team there, I think we sweep them and MU. MU might have that pressure ability, but we should have improved guard play to take care of business on that.

I had 2 losses in mind: Texas and KSU (because Game Day will be there). But now that i think about it we have to go at ISU at OSU at A&M at Missouri, thats gona be tough. We should beat ISU but Hilton is so tough to play in and they always play us close. A&M we should beat if we play well but given the fact that it's on the road, i wont just mark it down as a win. OSU has a top 5 home court in the big 12 and they have some really good playmakers. Missouri has the 2nd longest home win streak behind us and their defense is still ridiculously tough. If we can get out of all this with only 2 losses I'd say that's pretty damn good. I can't decide. 2-3 losses. I really really really want to beat KSU on game day though. Oh that's gona be intense. But their game plan is give it to Clemente and Pullen and have them throw up some three's and as we saw last night and against Cornell and so many times this season we suck at guarding the 3 so we'll see.

dmoney. right you are. we are k states game of the year. they are going to be jacked and they have more than adequate talent this year. k state has a legit 3 ball this year and teams that streak with the 3 pointer are always the team that squeak by kansas over the year. i think we will split with them. winning team will be home both times. cole has been playing sluggish lately and i think that pittman and texas will take advantage of that. there is always that chance against mizzou. either way we will win 30 games and nobody can ask more than that.

2-3 road losses + a surprise home loss is very much in our future.

hope I"m wrong and if you disagree then you think we will find tough defense and reduce silly turnovers and hit a high percentage from the trey for all our remaining games.

what team have you been watching, love the hawks but we are young and silly on occasion.

oooops I forgot, we have the finest collection of players in the history of Kansas basketball, if true, then we won't lose again. )

gc you could say that, yet I took it as compliment to the league that even as a strong KU team, how many times will we likely stub our toe.

55% chance for austin loss. = 1.2 loss 45% chance of loss at Manhattan same for MU = .9 loss 15% loss at home to anyone times 7 teams = .28 loss 28% chance to lose to anyone else on the road X 8 events = 1.3 losses.

so I figure likely to have 3-4 losses, not certain, yet likely.

I saw it as math question more than a loyalty question, just me.

I tend to agree Doc! Maybe one more loss on the road. SC will not allow any losses in the Phog. They will defend.
