That was the hardest vote to make! After watching that game today, it was the right choice until they prove me wrong!! Our boys better start growing up and showing some of that Jayhawk pride and toughness that we are all use too!!! Time to lick the wounds and move on. ROCKCHALK JAYHAWK!!!!!!!!!!

I live in Tennessee and man, that was a hard one to swallow. It would be easier to take if we lost to anyone else. I do think Tennessee played as well as they possibly could and they deserve credit for rising to the occasion, especially with the tough week they had. Aldrich and Henry were non-factors in the game and that's what killed us.

well i voted for the 'Hawks based on what i know they will be.....stupid fan here but i think in 16 games KU either has them all or is 15-1......maybe Keeg's beloved 'horns will take center stage but i still think the best overall is KU. This was one game of virtually no one playing as a team, no coordinated anything.....not D....not easiest shots.....not patience, etc.

KU went in fatly overconfident and expected Tennessee to play like they were missing their big guns. Wrong!

Hope to see us fall to about 10th, that's about where we belong.

I think KU is the best team, but UT may have the best starting five mainly because they play all out, all the time. That we must play UT at the Drum is bad news unless KU's players mature. I guess it is to be expected that the new players on KU's team do much better at home and against weaker teams. I think we have judged them too quickly while they were pounding sub-par opposition. The key to beating UT is to figure out how to stop James. I had hoped one of the Morris brothers could, but now I wonder. I think gammimc is too pessimistic. A superb coach like Self does need to stress defense even more than he supposedly does. If not, the three point shooting teams will push us to the wire every time. I think Tennessee was lucky on more of their three pointers than the one where the score was 68 to 71 or somewhere in that range.

The thing is, with HCBS, KU will/can become a smarter team between now and March. UT doesn't have that advantage. Barnes doesn't recruit smart kids and is not as good of a coach. It's the same reason we beat Memphis in the NC. We used our heads, and they didn't. Will 2-3 more months' coaching improve our decisionmaking enough to outstrip UT's superior physicality? We'll see.

We need to get off rankings and start thinking improvement. Who cares what we are ranked. We won't fall too far! We should be around 3 maybe 4.

One lousy game is no reason to give up on a team. All teams are due a real bad game. Ours came a little early. Tenn was very lucky and KU was very bad! This makes for a nasty loss. I doubt they play another ranked team with that emotional momentum. Tenn will be exposed and drop from the rankings altogether.

You can't beat dumb luck!! They all played a really good game and the question is, can you continue to win with walk-ons in your conference?

We'll be fine and learn some good lessons from this loss.

You can't answer this in one game on one bad day. KU is the better team. Now we have the undfeated stupidity off our backs, we can really focus, play loose and have fun.

I hope Cole gets his act together cause I'm just afraid Pittman will have his lunch under the hoop. I want to see the Cole that put it to Hansbroug 2 years ago. The monster we had last year. I doubt he's done much for his draft ranking lately. He may have to stay his senior year to be a decent draft pick.

The loss at Tennessee puts us right where we need to be. I hate dragging the #1 anchor around during the season...remember 1997 or 1998 when J. Vaughn was our point guard...remember 2003....etc. Everyone is amped up when we roll into's exhausting for the guys. We'll learn from this loss, Coach Self will make sure of that and we'll have a big chip on our shoulder when we go into Austin to play UT...assuming they're still #1 by then. Remember, the Big 12 has a lot of home arena's that are tough to win in. RCJH.

We have the best talent, but I think right now TX has a better team.

Good thing we have some time to get our game together.
