You can't win them all but worry about this team's killer instinct. There was a moment early in the second half where I thought they could get back into the game. KU caught them off guard with the full pressure and they had two consecutive forced turnovers which resulted in a coughed up pass by collins and a missed drive by Taylor (how many do we see of those!). They just didn't capitalize.

Is Collins hurt? He has looked slower than usual -- like he's behind a half a step -- for the past 2 weeks. Anyone else get this feeling? I hope this isn't Ressing redux*

*regarding injury only

You see how aggressive KU was in the last 4-5 minutes? Why can't they play with that drive the first 35? Granted, there's not a lot you can do when your opponent hits that many threes, but still, very sloppy and even lazy defense in the first half.

Seems the Hawks were just out played tonight. Don't like to see that with the NCAA Tourney coming up. I really thought they'd come back in the 2nd half even down. But, the three pointers and the good defensive play in the paint - just made KU look really bad. So, on to KSU and MU!

And on the Final Four!

Better to lose now then Big 12 Championship or in the Tourney

We still bleed Crimson and Blue and we still Rock Chalk Jayhawk

As much as I hate to say it, this team is NOT NCAA Championship material. They have played miserably against bottom-feeders like Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma. There was no reason to lose Tennessee and there were many games where the Jayhawks allowed huge point spreads to be whittled away only to have to battle to stay ahead. Nope, we'll be fortunate to take the Tournament let alone a deep foray into the NCAA Tournament. This team could easily be beaten by a Butler or Davidson It hurts to say it but this team is ineffective and inconsistent given their unusually good record. This team has not really been challenged enough. We're destined for doom kids. Sorry.

Ralster- It's one thing to get that trip but it's another to play consistently.

Muonelo says, "We are a tournament!" Well, Obie, let's see if you can play this way going forward b/c it takes this kind of play to be a tournament team. Good luck Obie and profound statement after one good win. Problem is, Pokes haven't played or convinced anyone they can do this too many more times. This is what disappoints me more than a KU loss. A team that will use one win to justify their entire season. If I were a Poke fan, I would be happy, but also pissed that my team couldn't play this way the entire season. Crimony, if they play like this, they are B12 Champions and definitely tournament material. So, this is why I get a little stoked when I hear a team or program use one extraordinary win to make huge claims!!

Good luck Pokes! You're going to need this game to carry you for the rest of the season.

Keep in mind too, the tournaments are on neutral courts. That will help a lot.

Ralster--- What's your take on this? ESPN said that Syracuse would take over the top spot, followed by KU, followed by Kentucky. I think the only way to get the overall #1 seed is if we run the table through the Big 12 Tourney and the Orange falter in the Big East Tourney. Any thoughts?

The selection committee won't necessarily seed the teams the exact same way the major polls do! So there is definitely still some hope to get the top #1 seed, if we match the Cuse & UK records from now until selection Sunday. If we win out, then we will definitely put ourselves in good shape to get the overall #1 seed, if we don't win out, then if either the Cuse or UK do, then we won't get the top spot!

I just want to go through St. Louis. My fear is that Syracuse will either go to St. Louis or Houston and Duke will end up in Syracuse. They won't send Kentucky to Salt Lake, I just don't see it. They love Calipari and the SEC too much to do that to their fans. I see us being shoved to Salt Lake regardless.
