The guys (Tom Keegan, Matt Tait, Jesse Newell) recap Kansas' 74-71 loss to Missouri. Where did it go wrong for KU? What surprised the guys from the game? Should the officiating be blamed at all for the loss? The three also discuss their observations from last week's KU football assistant media day and talk about what they learned from the interview session.

Love the spodcasters. Hope to hear more from you. Loved it when a spodcast was posted after every game.
Matt, I would love to hear more about the Big 12 talking to ACC schools. I've only been able to find a few links discussing it. Sounds like Clemson and Florida State are leading the charge. This has to include discussions with Notre Dame too. Even rumors about the ND AD becoming the Big 12 commish.
Let us know if you know more.

I would sure like to see the Big XII target FSU, Clemson, Georgia Tech and Louisville. Four teams in the heart of SEC country. That would push us to 14, you could talk about strategic partnerships with the SEC like the PAC and B1G plan to do.
Of course, if Notre Dame decides it is time to join, then you could talk 16 and see who else might want to come. Pitt?

Getting to 16:
POD #1 Clemson GA Tech FSU Miami?
POD #2 Notre Dame Maryland? or Louisville? WVU ISU
POD #3 Kansas KSU OU OSU
POD#4 Texas Texas Tech TCU Baylor

Thanks for the chat, guys. I agreed with your observations and attitude about the Missouri loss. We had the better team, got a couple bad breaks, but could have been more focused at the end. Mizzou arena had something to do with that I'm sure. We'll get 'em at Allen.
I, particularly, like the talk about football continuing throughout the entire year. This is the most excited I've been about football since I have followed football (since '50s). Zenger's strategy is dead-on brilliant -- "A football guy says that KU is serious about football and demonstrates it." So, I really appreciate the help you give to him (and KU) by devoting daily space to football on kusports.com. I look forward to, and love all your articles, podcasts, videos and interviews (coaches, players, recruits and fans alike), giving all of us hope and vision for KU's football future.
The Weis hiring, along with your positive, motivational support to the action has changed my attitude entirely. I'm even getting season tickets to the games. Can't wait for Fall.

good conversation. I love taking my kids to see relatives in Columbia, and having to explain what an Adult Superstore is. We also bought some of those Missouri fireworks this past Summer, and those things must be designed to burn KU fans. OUCH!!!

The genealogy of the Lhasa Tibetan Sheepdog Terrier was awesome.
And I know how you respond to that... Think Waynes World and say:
"I did not know that"

Last word about the officiating.....truthfully, I have read that the L is on the coach or a player, BUT how in the world can you prepare for such an terrible call on TRob. It is not something you can ever emulate in practice. Reminded me of another favorite who like to steal the highlights with his multiple whistles.....Hightower, I believe!
