The guys (Jesse Newell, Jesse Temple) give their observations from the first day of the Jayhawk Invitational AAU tournament. What are the strengths of KU commit Royce Woolridge? Did Harrison Barnes perform like the potential No. 1 overall player in the 2010 class? The Jesses break down the top recruits from their matchup on Friday in Lawrence. Newell also marvels at perhaps the greatest introduction (and closing) in Spodcasters history.

I enjoyed listening, but "you either have a killer crossover dribble or you don't" ? They develop that dribble with hours and weeks and months and years of practice! They've probably been working on that since about the age of 10.

You're right. They do work on it. The point is if I worked on it for as many hours as he did, I still wouldn't be as good at he is at it. Some of it is just ability that you are born with.

Okay, Jesse, no offense meant. I did enjoy the discussion. Especially the part about Xavier playing the 3 spot right away and how he can fill the void left by Brandon Rush. The similarities are amazing. You don't find players like those two too often. I'm betting he'll be in the starting lineup at least by the fifth game.
The videos I've watched on Elijah and Thomas are also exciting. They can both play way above the level we've seen in some of the other recruits in the past. Can't wait for the season to start. Does anyone have any video on CJ? I'm 56 years old, but I feel like a kid on Christmas eve. Gooooo Jayhawks!!

burnsey — No offense taken. You made a good point. I wasn't mad, just trying to explain better what I meant.
