Ryan Greene and Ryan Wood talk about KU's 40-minute attack on North Carolina Saturday night in San Antonio, which propels the Jayhawks into the NCAA title game for the first time since 2003. The guys talk about how the Final Four's two biggest stars looked pretty ordinary, just what were the keys to KU's eye-popping performance and a first look at Monday night's surely exciting finale.

Wood, it remains a treat to listen to you throwing out quotables and shout outs to such cultural icons as "Lil Mac." Takes me back to the days of "Real Ultimate Power.net" at The Kansan. Keep up the great posts, us Jayhawks who find ourselves in places on the far, arid side of the world appreciate the few moments when I can feel I'm tipping back with the boys at West, talking all things Kansas.

A great episode of the spodcasters, even if it was just Ryan and Ryan.
I definitely like KU's chances. Rose may be taller and more athletic, but he's never been guarded by nearly as good an on-ball defender as Russell Robinson. I expect Russell to slow him down a little. Maybe not quite as much as he did in silencing Ty Lawson, but he ought to be able to make life difficult for the freshman. I feel for Rush a little bit because he likely will be matched up against CDR which will be a heck of a job considering we need him to be highly effective offensively as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see Shady on CDR once in awhile to give Rush a little break.
Dorsey is monster presence inside. I was comparing him to Dwight Howard with the way he is built. He looks like he's about 3 ft wide from shoulder to shoulder. He's probably more comparable to Ben Wallace though, as far as size and skill set are concerned. at 6'9 he's definitely a big body and with Dozier and Taggart that's a heck of an inside presence. From the look of it Taggart seems to be the most skilled offensively of the bunch, also the tallest.
And yes, of course, what a game last night. I know that our guys were never down, but they did have their backs against the wall at one point and they recovered nicely. I was really worried when they were neglecting to get the ball inside and the guards were driving to be basket out of control just like in Manhattan, Austin, and Stillwater. I think when we get flustered like that we need to go with some set plays to get the ball inside and try and get some easy buckets for the big guys, and get some momentum that way.
I can't wait till tomorrow night!
