Good Podcast!

I was hoping to play Pitt as I thought they were the weaker team but I think if we look at it, we actually match up better with ucla. ucla's front court is thier weak link as is ours; they can't shoot free throws, neither can we; they have very fast guards, so do we; Afflalo is thier best offensive and defensive player; Rush is ours.

The difference I think might be in two places. First, if Julian Wright can have a good game, they have no one who can match up with him. Second, our bench is SOOO much stronger than thiers. Aboya, Roll, and Westbrook do not compare to Sherron, Darrell, and Jackson - all three of which would be starting for UCLA.

I'm not trying to be cruel but Aaron Gray is the softest big guy that I've seen in a while. He has the talent but doesn't look like he has the heart.

Another great spodcast, guys. I was wondering if you could help me out on my dilemma:

I am a UCLA student. And of course, also a die-hard KU fan. I know I'm blessed to be a fan of two very great programs, but which one should I root for?

Baby Blue or Crimson and Gold?

I think I'm going to be yelling Rock Chalk on Saturday, though.

I'm not sure what our guest was talking about with needing to create space against the UCLA defense. Pitt seemed to have all kinds of room to make entry passes to the, yes, very soft Aaron Gray. He's like a bigger, softer Mark Randall. When you are that big and that close to the basket, you dunk the ball. Even if it's a really, really soft dunk, don't use the glass. Dunk the basketball.

KU 80
UCLA 65
ish.

So, don't you guys think the officiating in the game against SIU was a bit inconsistent? Surprised you guys didn't talk about it in your Spodcast. It was unbelievable. They would call different fouls on different ends of the court. Call a stupid ticky-tack foul on Rush or Arthur away from the ball, but when Tatum would elbow his way through defenders it was nothing. A ton of over the back fouls weren't called either. Sure I'm biased, but seriously, that was a piss poor referee performance.

Also, maybe the Jayhawks should've never switched from Nike to Adidas. Did you see them slipping and falling all over the floor? Seems like they lost their footing alot. Or maybe, it was the floor. Don't the San Jose Sharks play at HP Pavillion? I've heard there can be issues with the wood floors when the ice underneath starts to melt. Just wondering if you guys in the "Sproadcast" world had noticed. Thought for sure TK would've said something.

ryan, don't talk over the guys....(and talk louder when they're saying something)!

good spodcast overall though. that UCLA guy is way off though. they can't compete w/KU.

we'll run them off the court...
