Kansas coach Charlie Weis talks to reporters following the Jayhawks' 23-14 loss to Rice on Sept. 14, 2013.

Jeezus. Where did they have this conversation? A Rice frat party?
After listening to this, I still have no confidence in Coach Weis. He sounds just as lost as his offense is. He seems to point the finger at dropped passes. And while those were big, the bigger issue is that Jake Heaps had 11 carries and Cox, Bourbon, Miller and Pierson combined for 4.
I'm not the brightest light bulb in the pack, but I'm bright enough to know that's a bad stat.
If only we had had an extra week to get all these new players familiarized with our system. Oh. Wait. We did.
We do need an OC at this point.
Yup. "We were bad and we need to get better." Thanks, coach.
Weis's comments make him sound punch drunk. Obviously if his mind is this fuzzy after the game then he needs some help at offensive coordinator. His answers clearly indicate his mind is overwhelmed by what just happened on the field. I like Weis - just think he's taken on more than he's capable of as HC and OC. And that's why most teams have an offensive coordinator that is not also the HC - 2 different people doing 2 different jobs.
Bring back the OC that Reesing had!
Bring back Reesing!
